SRMIST Kattankulathur campus review

The course in all the universities across india is more or less the same and I feel it is really outdated and irrelevant as per the industry standards, the difficulty level is standard and frequency is also good, the exams happen every alternate months.

I haven't got any intership yet as I am a first year student but there are several internship opportunities available on-campus. The interships are available to you after you complete your 2nd year in the college.

The campus placement logistics of this college is good as compared to other private colleges in India, students can apply for internships from the beginning of 3rd semester itself and can get a PPO based on there performance. Mostly mass recruiters visit the campus including top MNCs and offer made last years were around thousand. Highest package was around 54 lac with average being 7 to 8 lakhs, percentage of students getting placed is 75 to 80. My plan is to go for job after completing my degree

The year wise fees I paid is 475000 and it's going to be same for all four years. The fees is reduced by a percentage if you get a scholarship during entrance exam. The fees for freshers increases every year. The founder scholarship is the one that gives hundred percent waiver on tuition fees.

The annual festival is AARUSH and it is held in october to november, the library is massive and has a lot of book with technical topic and arts and literature as well. The classrooms are technologically advanced with basic amenities like AC and projectors, Sports is given high priority in the campus, there are many student run social group and clubs which one can join anytime.

The room has all the basic amenities required by the students like AC, Fan, Beds, and washroom depends on your choice of room. The food of mess is not that bad and is bearable. The menu for the week is fixed and is repeated over weeks. The registration process is through the student portal itself.

I gave JEE but I didnt qualify for it so I landed up here, there were no quality options in college except a few private colleges, SRM is one among them, I got lazy at the end of the preparation and ended up ruining my preparation. The admission process to this college is really simple, they have there own online examination system through which they conduct the test, they have there own online student portal through which you get regular responses and information regarding upcoming events, the exam is SRMJEE, the cutoff depends upon number of students appearing in the examination, overall admission process was smooth.

Faculty is really cooperative and friendly, the professors are really chill. There are eight to ten faculty members assigned per batch with an strength of 60 to 70 students. PPS lab and practical labs faculty members are really chill. There is no such faculty which I didn't like, sometimes the exams are easy and sometimes difficult, it all depends on the controller of examinations.
