A real aspect of a state government college

The department of civil engineering was very much relevant to me as the subjects were upto the mark as required to be eligible to become a civil engineer. The curriculum prepared you well enough to go on for the further higher studies or the government jobs exams. A suggestion for the improvement is that they should remove the non credit subjects as they are of no use to the technical curriculum.

If talking about core then we can see placements for CSE,IT,EE,EL meaning if you are from these departments you can get placements in jobs related to your departments and for CE and ME you are not seeing placements in jobs related to your departments but you get placements in jobs related to management and business sectors. The students are eligible for placements from seventh semester. Many companies have visited our college including PSUs like BEL, TCIL etc and many private companies like Ittiam, TCS, etc. Percentage of students getting placed is about 80% overall. My plans after getting degree is to go for higher studies.

Institute fees - 40000/- Exam fee- 5500/- Hostel fee- 10000/- User Charges- 12300/- Degree fee- 500/- (submitted in final year) Caution fee- 5000/-( submitted in first year) There is also a scholarship programme under Uttar Pradesh government in which students eligible are provided the scholarship on the basis of their reservation. There is also a merit based scholarship of 3000/- given to meritorious students.

There are many events that tum throughout the year like different sports leagues to cultural events but we have two major fest of our college which happen once a year those are TVARAN that is sports fest and ANUBHUTI that is our cultural fest. Along with them we have mini fest in the name of Annual Sports Championship and Sangam. We have a decent Library with internet connectivity and all the books related to each and every department. We have smart classrooms and decent labs for the students. We have different councils and clubs run by Student under the guidance of our faculties like Cultural Council, Sports Council, Photography and time Arts Club, Hobby Club, etc.

I applied for MMMUT Gorakhpur and also for JOSAA and also AKTU counseling. Among the three I got call for mechanical engineering from MMMUT, civil engineering from KNIT Sultanpur and a mechanical engineering from NIT Agartala. I chose KNIT Sultanpur because of the department and also as it was near to my hometown. I applied for HBTU Kanpur civil department but got rejected due to high cut off marks for the general category as compared to mine. For being eligible for KNIT Sultanpur one must appear for JEE Mains and then apply for the AKTU Counseling and fill his/her choices and if he/she clears the cutoff he/she will get a call letter and will be required to submit the documents on the physical reporting day. The overall admission process was very good as the authorities cooperated with the students and all procedure was done in a time period of 2-3 hours

The faculty student ratio is about 1:6. The faculty to student relationship is friendly and cooperative. And they helpful in nature . If you find yourself in any difficulty then you can approach them at any time. There are w mid sems and 1 end sem in a semester. The exams difficulty level is up to the mark. The passing percentage is good and is about 90%. The course curriculum is also relevant as each subject is related to the respective department.
