Course Curriculum Overview

3

The specific thing for which I choose Manipal was 5 year integrated law course and the quality of teachings , the curriculum prepare you for future like inclusion of French as subject in ba LLB which kind helpfull if you want persue international law The curriculum prepare you for the future by on field knowledge by the teachers , although it can be improved if students have taken students to the field of actual work , teaching method of some teachers can be more good if they use interactive teaching , so there are 2 exams mte or mid sem and ete or end sem , mid sem start after 1-1.5 month of commencement of classes and end sem happen 1 month after the mid sem exam the papers itself are not so difficult

Internships Opportunities

2

So college do offer some decent internship opportunities in decent firms for law students ,but don't expect it to be paid ,college provide unpaid internship,to get paid internship you have to approach it from off campus .

Placement Experience

1

So the placements of this college is not good you hardly get 3-4 lacs of package the University does train you for the placements, there are hardly any companies or firms comes for placement. Come this university only if you want to take degree with good knowledge like for thee preparation of government exams

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fess stays the same for 5 years , I'm paying 1lakh 75 thousands every year since first year , now I'm in 4th year, also the fess increses by 10-15k per so the next batch who would have come after me , would be paying approx 1lakh 85 thousands every year and so on...

Campus Life

4

So the campus life is very good if you are hostler but if you are day scholar , there are not much event for you , every week there was any function or festival is going on in hostel . The college itself conduct a annual function "oneros" which is quite good many good personalities comes for performace like darshan rawal , the law library is very rich of content you will never run out of material to study it well furnished and have very calm and ac environment , the classroom is fully air-conditioned with very good chairs and benches all classrooms very big and have digital projecters , the curriculum does not have sports field but if you want play sports there are many facilities and equipments are avilable for you to play with ,I can't about any other department the law department have clubs but those clubs are dead

Admission

So I have applied for Shimla nlu but dropped it because of there accomodation facility and low ranking college , I choose Manipal because it was in my city , and it was the best college which I could get in my city , I don't go to Shimla nlu because of there higher fees like there 1 year fees was around 2.5 lacs - 3 lacs, for five years it would be 15 lacs which was huge so I dropped it , where Manipal fees was low comparibly like 1.75 lacs in 2021 per year To get admission of the exam you have to give 12 marksheet and clat score , they generally not reject the application, but in coming times there are talks that college is preparing to take entrance test for admission

Faculty

4

So the faculty to teacher ratio is 1:60 , the relationship between teacher and students are very friendly they are always available for the help through WhatsApp, in law my favourite teacher is dr. Vijaylakshmi mam who is very kind and helpful teacher her lectures on posh act is best lecture I have ever got in this college besides these there are Amit yadav who teaches in very fun way , Swati mam who taught you in very kind and friedly way , but there are some teacher who is not great but mid cause of there teaching style like reading the PPTs Also there 2 exams happen in each semester one is mid another is final exam , the papers itself are not difficult if you are in attentinve in classes

I chose the BA LLB course for its blend of law and arts subjects, offering a comprehensive understanding of law, society, and governance. The interdisciplinary approach, with subjects like political science and history alongside core legal studies providing a strong foundation. Practical elements like moot courts and internships also prepare students for real worls legal challenges, making it a ideal course for law careers. Exam are based on semester system which includes mid-sem and end-sem which means exams are taken 4 times in a year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course was my main focus being in the judiciary exam, and this college's curriculum can be quite very helpful for that. The curriculum prepares us for real World applications such as litigation through moot court competitions which are held regularly on different levels and they also offer information regarding moot courts being held in different Colleges where we can apply and participate. A few improvements can be done in the course curriculum by making it more student friendly and the teaching methodology should be introduced to students in a way which makes them comfortable and open to more knowledge in a friendly manner. The exams are held timely and their frequency stands to be frequent and the difficulty level for the same stands to be moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specifically the aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision was the legal knowledge and the awareness of one's legal rights. The curriculum prepares us for the journey of being a lawyer or an legal practitioner in a way that one can do very well in any field they choose. If i were to suggest the areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods that would be to hire better qualified teachers and compulsive 75% attendance for the students. The exams are held every six months along with mid semester exams in between and the difficulty level is not much if you are serious about your studies.
