Likes

Course curriculum was very much good and flexible the staffs were much friendly
Our college has a good placement support because they train for the placement from the very first year
College campus will be very need and cleanly maintained

Dislikes

No importance to any sports and the college doesn't even have a cricket team and doesn't have a proper cricket ground
Campus doesn't have a car parking for students and students can only park their bikes in ground
Foods in hostel were not good enough , contract need to change for a good catering

Course Curriculum Overview

The frequency and timming of exam are much better.they don't urge the exams soon and they give a period of time for each exams.the teaching method of staffs should be improve and methods should be focusing on improving skills rather than knowledge.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for computer science engineering is 1.09 lakhs per sem and for yearly it is almost 2.18 lakhs if transport is needed then it should be paid according to their respective travel distance The management has many scholarships such as cini club which is for growing actors and actress and others who involved in cini field and merit scholarships for who got merit in their 12th class and first graduate scholarship and more

Campus Life

Vels star will be held in the end of odd sem and before the end of even semester nakshatra will be conducted these are the two major events that are conducted in my college and others fesitvals like pongal diwali and others will also be conducted in the college

Admission

The fees of other colleges are much higher when compared to my college.my college doesn't have any donation fees but other colleges have been collecting donation fees as 50% of the total course fees.Timing of the college were different

Faculty

The facilities were very friendly and helpful but some are not updated to trenda of syllabus.There are practical laboratories for necessary subjects.they conduct two internal examinations and a model exam then they conduct the semester

Self studying college with no enjoyment

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Only a limited number of companies visit the campus. The common recruiters are mostly mass hiring IT service companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, and a few local startups. Core companies rarely visit the campus. Very few students get placed directly on campus. For example, in my batch, less than 25–30% of students received offers, and most of them were in IT support roles rather than core engineering jobs. Salary Packages –Highest Package: Around 4.5 – 5 LPA, offered by a software company. Average Package: Around 2.5 – 3 L

- from the 4th year or 3rd year after getting good internship - i am in second year so no compnaies as of now but i went for workshops in bharat biotech -Highest in my branch like 7 Lpa and minimum 3 Lpa - 80 percent getting placements rest for masters - sit for placements to get good placemnte between 5-7 lakhs

Vels University is not that bad

It's very easy to get admission in this college as the admission procedure is very simple. You can directly go to the head office, and you can contact the people sitting in the reception. They'll guide you and throughout the admission. Also, it's near to the airport, which should make a travel entry for the students who are coming from the other states. Also it is situated in a very good place. The college is situated in Pallavaram, which has various like basically everything is present there beat food beat hostels. it's a good place. The location of the college is very good making it very accessible other than the location. The faculties are very nice.
