My experience as a student.

5/10 There's a lot more things to be improved being a university. They don't have advanced equipment for labs. They don't encourage extra curricular activities as they should. But a lot of things have been improved like Pre-placement classes, organising MUNs and TEDX etc.

Hello everyone, I am a student of batch 2021 and during that time Silicon was an autonomous college i.e Silicon institute of technology, Bhubaneswar. When I joined the fees was 1.5 lpy and the fees was also a reason I joined there because it's affordable for my parents. I paid 40,000 caution fees before admission which was managed along with the tution fees later on.

We usually have a annual tech fest i.e. NOESIS which includes all the technical competitions and cultural competitions. We also have cultural fests like Zygon and cultural nite. We have musical fest like rythmnova. And we organise MUNs and TEDX etc. Our sports teams participates in inter-college tournaments .

I applied at ITER, at C.V. Raman and at KIIT University. I chose this college because it was affordable for my parents and also feasible for communication. I didn't get any rejection from other colleges infact I was selected in Computer science branches in ITER and CV Raman.

Faculties are really good and helpful. But some faculties are also assigned some management duties so they get busy in doing those so we have to approach some other facilities in their place. I really like mu Faculty adviser Mrs. Sanghamitra Das, she really helped me a lot through out my engineering journey. I didn't like a lot of teachers who are really very strict about their old school rules and regulations they don't focus on building a student-teacher relationship of comfort and understanding. Exams are really difficult and really hard to clear.
