Course Curriculum Overview

4

As I'm pursing BA(Hons) journalism and mass communication. Journalism provide us lots of field to build up our career. I think they have to improve their practical work to provide proper guidance to the students as journalism is a practical course but they mostly focusing on theories.

Fees and Financial Aid

Shri Guru Ram Rai University Dehradun, Uttarakhand is mostly known as by their medical course. But it also offers Bachelor of journalism in a very affordable fee structure as compared to the other Universities. As we all know Journalism is a professional Hons degree course. Shri Guru Ram Rai University offer this course under 80000 for complete course. For medical student University have their own hospital (Indresh Hospital)

Campus Life

3

As I experienced university campus is good but our department humanities campus which is not in main university campus is just okay. Here badminton court, basketball, and volleyball court available. But cricket or football ground is only in main university campus in medical college.

Admission

I have chose this college due to their affordable fee structure what they provide. Admission process is to easy first student have to register on university website with 1500 rupees registration charges. After that you have to visit in university admission cell to enroll and confirm your seat by paying addmission fee and so on.

Faculty

4

Faculties are friendly with students most of them support us.Dr Asha bala and Hod Dr Ashish both are very good in teaching they can teach in a very simple and easy way. There two exams internal and external in our course first internal is practical assignment based and the second one is written then after that external exams. The ratio of passing student is 30 percent.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit our college every year and mostly all of the students are placed based on their capabilities. Highest package of mass communication is 16 LPA and average package of 4 LPA. My plans is to become a journalist after the completion of my course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course circullim is extremely basic and I feel doesnt delve deeply into the course at hand. We have been allowed to choose our electives in our final year and I feel we should got an option to choose our electives in the second year to gain more exposure and clarity in the field we are interested in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm not sure that what I'm do after schooling then i got to know about mass communication and journalism course. Some say you will be reporter, some say anchor, but my inner voice says barbaadi ki rah, like my colleagues are very disappointing person, actually not all but some. I enjoyed the college to the fullest and during my 2nd sem I left an exam and just have a mindest to give back for that paper, like seriously i just left the paper to feel how people or students do hardwork to clear thier back in exam, don't think that i didn't clear it, I passed it. Now I'm missing the college, the campus and etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was severely outdated, with least emphasis on the practical learning which is ironical for a course like Journalism and Mass communication. The emphasis was just on the theory lecture and even there not in a single semester the syllabus was completed on time.
