Course Curriculum Overview
The courses are perfectly aligned with industry standards. The internships provided by the university enhances relevance by connecting theory to practice. The exams are of 1 hour duration and the blueprint of the question paper is as followed:- It consists of two sections (A and B) Section A consists of 4 questions of 4 marks each Section B consists either of 1 question of 9 marks or two questions of 5 and 4 marks respectively.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are provided in 4th semester in various companies varying on the courses and student's expertise The stipend depends on the companies and the projects submitted by the students
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements in the last year of their respective courses Various companies like amazon, accenture, aditya birla group, airtel, etc. 500 companies have visited amity campus for placements. Rs 2 cr p.a. salary is being drawn by an amity alumni.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees structure of Bachelors of Computer is as followed :- 140000 , There's also a security fees of 20000 which is to be paid one time only at the time of admission. There's also a 5% increase in tuition fees every year. The scholarships are as followed:- 100% scholarship - 95% aggregate and above in (CBSE/ISC) board of XII 50% scholarship - 90-94.99% aggregate in (CBSE/ISC) board of XII 30% scholarship - 90% aggregate and above in (STATE) board of XII
Campus Life
Amity's official fest :- AMIPHORIA is held typically in the month of feb - march. Last year's main attraction was punjabi singer Parmish Verma and Laddi Chahal. There are different facilities for outdoor and indoor sports. Following is the list of the sports. Outdoor- Cricket, Football, Lawn tennis, Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball Indoor- Table tennis, carrom, 8 ball pool etc There's also a gymnasium which is free of cost for the students.
Admission
I applied for Chandigarh university and chitkara university also but amity was my priority due to travel convenience and good infrastructure. The admission process is very simple and easy Admission form can be filled online as well as offline After the registration there's an interview with the HOD and the interview includes technical as well as aptitude questions
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio can vary with as high as 1:40 The mentorship provided by the faculty is very helpful and encouraging. The marking scheme is as followed:- There are mid-terms subjective and end-term subjective as well as objective (25 marks each) which adds to 75/100 Remaining 25 marks includes 16 marks from surprise quizzes and 9 marks from assignments projects and presentations
