Course Curriculum Overview

3

The main reason I choosed this course is i am very much interested in working at industrial field. And yes of course I am very interested and curious to learn and know more about the little creature of our life that is bacteria, viruses etc.which play very important role in our daily life. The curriculum our college made is quite interesting they had started from basic applications and at the end of the semester we had learnt and gained knowledge about what actually the microbes do what are there application in different fields and their importance. By knowing course this leads us to various areas like dairy , pharmaceutical, winery, industry, cosmetics, bereverages etc

Fees and Financial Aid

General -5000 to 10000 SC/ST - 1000 to 5000 I belong to general category i pay around 10000 per year.As I belong to general category I don't any scholarships. Our college provide SSP scholarship for SC/ST category students around 12000 to 14000 and detect there tution fee or caution fee in that scholarship amount only.

Campus Life

4

The overall experience with my college life is so beautiful and memorable rather than the studies we friends had a very beautiful days at our campus especially during our college fests it is named as YUREKA it will be held usually during May June or July. There will be DJ nights during those days and much more fun activities. Our library facilities is mesmerizing . Collection of books and journals are huge in number .It helped us a lot during our exams. The novels they placed is so adorable.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel facilities are quite good. They allot 8 to 10 to each room, depending upon the space area of the room. The quality of food is poor. The menu is as follows Monday-lemon rice Tuesday -idli sambar Wednesday -rice bath Thursday -puliogare Friday -again rice bath Saturday -chow chow bath Sunday -Dosa. The registration process is simple as that they provide a hostel application form in which we need to fill our personal details with details about our previous year school and college details along with parents signature. We general category students pay 10000 per year with 1900 monthly mess fee For SC/ST category students there will around 2000 per year no mess fees

Admission

I didn't apply for any other colleges i decided to join to this college only .I choose this college over others is the reason Yuvaraja's college is well known reputated college in Mysore and we can see many years experienced facilities who teaches us more and more better. The admission process is completely based on merit score of our PUC(12th standard). There is no entrance exams are selection by cutoff.

Faculty

4

Overall weightage of our class is 50 and the facilities is around 10 members. The bonding between us and teachers is quite good .As their is a word says "If your good to me I will be good to you"The same principle is followed by our teachers. But they are so sweet of us they answer us in a polite way without any irritation. Some of them will totally treat us there children only .We teachers and us will have so much fun even during our class time . I love the all the teachers who had thought me ..i didn't have any favourite or any dislike feel for any one of them. For each sem there will be 2 internal test and one semester exam .The difficulty of paper is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

The methods of teaching is good but we need new ways like learning with games. The timing of exam is 3 hours for eights marks, and the difficulty is the benches are not comfortable

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
