Course Curriculum Overview

5

Forensic science was an exceptional decision of my life to opt for this course. I was preparing for neet exam to pursue my mbbs career but I couldn't qualify that exam so although it was a second choice but still that's the best choice I ever made. This career is a link of evidence speculation from the handling procedure to submission. We work for judiciary system so it's a very crucial and very important deal it's like to save someone's life is in our hands. The teachers are made this subject very easy to understand as this subject is not as simple it seems. There is lot to identify within oneself and to overlook the career. I was blessed that I got my first intership in first year at SFSL Rajasthan in narcotics division thanks to my teacher's guidance I could reach there. Teaching methods are very innovative and creative for making us understand about the activies. Labs are also in a good condition and performation of experiments are conducted very seriously.

Placement Experience

5

As for a bsc degree CRt classes are provided in our 3rd year and according to the interest of our subject our teacher's guide us and provide placement. As talking about forensics we have cyber security and digital forensics as our minor subject under which many career options are there to opt. Companies come and hire with accordance to your capabilities. After bsc around 8-9 lakh package is offered if you are capable enough depends upon your learning capabilities to exercise the knowledge.

Fees and Financial Aid

So there is a criteria of semester wise fee structure... Every even semester scholarship of 20% is applied if you have above 75% attendance, above 9 C.G.P.A and if you have 8 CGPA then 15% scholarship applied. Yes every year fees differs and increases w.r.t the course you have opted. Admission fee is around 10,000. There is no such criteria of cast wise fees for every person it's the same. It depends how you have the code of conduct so scholarship our college provides. As I got above 9 CGPA in 1st year both the semester I got 20% scholarship under which I got concession of 9000 relaxation from the total fees in the even semester.

Campus Life

5

There are many clubs like JIC club jecrc incubation centre which work on person startup ideas , aashayein club work on social welfare, NSS work social welfare, swaraag for singing club student council for overall conduct of college events. For sports basketball, volleyball, etc games are there. So extracurricular activities are also provided for students to keep up the level of confidence.

Admission

As for me I was preparing for neet exam and i attempted that exam for 4 times but i couldn't make it. So i searched for other courses and I got to know about forensic course and during my drop year I did 1 year universal certification course on DNA and fingerprint from IFS Pune branch and they provided me the books. When i read them it was amazing to rad about the cases and being a biology student it was fascinating for me. I searched for colleges and I saw JECRC University why I chose it was a reason first of all it is UGC affiliated university which means this degree is accepted worldwide, secondly it's affordable fee structure and the exciting event of GsI which is held by dept. Of forensic. We also conducted GSI 2.0 (Get set investigation) in our first year it's worth to know about mut court, crimescene formation etc.

Faculty

Talking about staff so they are amazing. I would like to share some insight info when we had our exams and due to some reason syllabus wasn't completed but our teacher Ruchika Dwivedi mam took the initiative who was teaching us other subject... And completed the syllabus beforehand of exams which was amazing. She although had so much workload but still she took the initiative that was inspiring for us. The coordination among teachers and students is very nice. They are very helpful and provide us the amazing guidance . They also motivate us and keep a check on us whether we are getting overstressed or its being cathartic or not and also keep check on our health issues. For exam criteria there are two semesters per year and in that 3 insems are there in which 2 insems are compulsory. If somewhat for some reason a person couldn't appear for a insem he or she should give 3rd insem with proper reason with a proof. For passing criteria 75% attendance is mandatory per subject.

Remarks:

There are a lot of positive things such as affordable fee structure, few good faculties and good amount of extracurricular activities, for negatives there are a few such as not all teachers are good enough, not many clubs or society, and average placement. The college has a high no. of students which provide good competition but sometimes feels crowded.
