Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As far what I believe is that course and curriculum does gives us a nice start to get into the world of computer science and does teaches a lot of things that will help us become job ready. But they are final and student do need internships and training to get around the corporate world. Teaching methods are great and sufficient but student efforts at the end to go beyond normal curriculum helps them outshine in job and interviews. Frequency and timing of exams is okay. Enough to not stress students. Also the difficulty level is moderate soo it's all good.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I am not sure about internships yet as it's my first year and it's only been few months. I did get to know there is a incubation center at college named as switch tech which as many start ups under incubation which do provide internship opportunities to all students else students can go for internships outside college too. We even have TCS behind our college.

Placement Experience

3

College does provides good placements and has a nice track record of over 50 percent students placed as of what I know. Some of the companies were Capgemini, TCS and many more. Highest package was 32 LPA and average is around 5 LPA. Most students go for gate exam after college. I will go for gate and look for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly we pay 2,10,000. Which is 1,05,000 per semester. Making a total of 4,40,000 for 4 years. This amount includes all kinds of fees such as tuition fees, development fees, lab fees etc. for admission 20,000 extra one time during first year. Charges are same for all categories, no reservations. There are scholarships based on ranks in JEE.

Campus Life

3

Infrastructure is awesome. Going from skylab which is an outdoor discussion and hangout area. Nicely decorated. Classrooms are great too as I said before they are well furnished and classy and nice environment to study. Library is a great place to be alone and quiet at peace and study. Clubs are fine too, with soo many clubs to choose there is something for everyone. Lots of guidance for students in sports by coach. Faculties and provisions are sufficient too but mostly clubs are managed by students.

Admission

I did apply to other government colleges like BPUT and VSSUT but unfortunately my rank wasn't enought to get into them. This college is well known for education and ways of teaching and that how strict it is regarding studies. It only allows qualified students to pass and go on for interview in order to maintain a good name for college. Students who don't pass are needed to clear back papers and there are no other means. Eligibility into college depends on JEE and OJEE ranks.

Faculty

4

Ratio would be around 1:30 I guess. Faculty student relationship are ok. Like usually they do give enough time to every student with doubt and do suggest to meet at after hours or Saturdays and even take extra classes if you all need. So they are supportive and nice. Do take time to make sure concepts are clear. Some do rush after assuming that most students are doing well soo everyone will catch up. There are two exams, mid terms and finals. They are moderately easy and with efforts they can be managed easily.

Other Applied Colleges

Not enough rank in OJEE

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.
