Course Curriculum Overview
The BCA course is quite comprehensive for the students who want to achieve a good career in computer applications . One of the reason which influence me to choose this course was industry relevant concepts which is adaptable now a days . It offers various real world projects to get hands on experience and attain a good knoweldge on developing projects. Talking about improvements i think there should be inclusion of more hackathons and deep concepts of a topic rather than giving a brief on the topic. The exam system consists of periodic exams and semester-end exams by the university.
Placement Experience
From the last year or the 5th and 6th semester the college offers placement and various on campus placements are offered. Companies like infosys , deloitte and wipro visited the college. The highest package of BCA was 8 lakhs per annum CTC. 100 percent placements . I am aiming to do higher studies (MBA)
Fees and Financial Aid
I pursued Bachelors of Computer applications from Pranveer singh institute of technology started in 2021. The fee structure is 80,000 per year with no extra charges covering only tuition fees . There were no extra charges taken . All students regarding of there category paid the same fees . Scholarships are provided to students with a EWS certificate by the goverment . The fees remained constant throughout the course .
Campus Life
The annual festival of the college is Ignitia and for freshers there is waves it usally happens in the month of march. There is library for each department as well as a central library which is huge and offers many books. There are smart classrooma with white boards and projectors. There are various sports offered by the college but can only play during any of the festival going on in the college and only hostellers have access to play after the college gets over. There are more than 10 types of club covering all the major goals
Admission
I chose PSIT because of its strong reputation in the field of Computer science and engineering . I also considered other colleges like galgotias and symboisis but this college align with my career goals . I didnt applied to other colleges just compared it The admission process is very simple and easy just there is a personal interview once cleared you can take admission and seat is confirmed . Interview consists of questions of maths and science
Faculty
The BCA program at PSIT offers a balanced faculty to student ratio . Like for 40 students there is 5 faculty which helps to maintain a healthy relationship and offers good academics. Among all there was a teacher , his name was Mr. ankit shukla which was the best teacher and was very good at Python. BCA program follows a well rounded curiculum covering fundamental computer science concepts and its application The marking scheme is fair and there were periodic test which helps us to get good knoweldge over concepts and helped in placement as well.
