What Students Say
Likes
- The college infrastructure is very soothing and the college is very big and greenish.
- The hostels are very clean and spacious with 24/7 water and electricity supply.
- The teachers are helpful and they listen to our issues and help us to solve the issues whether in studies or in personal life.
Dislikes
- The college location is such that there is nothing outside campus to visit. Students are aloof from recreational time. The nearest cinema hall is 30 km from the college.
- The cafeteria management is very poor. The menu, quality and variety of items is very poor. Affordable but very below the standards.
- The relevance of course curriculum of some subjects is also somewhat non relevant and add extra pressure to the student.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to pursue Computer Science in B.Tech so there was no influence from the college. The curriculum mildly prepares you for real world applications and the 80% hardwork is on the student's shoulder. The teacher somewhat guides the students but the courses doesn't help a lot. Teaching methods are needed to be improved. The focus indirectly shifts towards on the rote learning not the the application. Exams are easy and are conducted thrice in the semester of 15, 25 and 35 marks.
Internships Opportunities
The companies visited the colleges offered a good stipend to the students. Companies like Zopsmart offered stipent around 20k INR. The work on interships is taken seriously by the colleges and they ask every students to apply to various orrganizations for the internships.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester the students become eligible for on-campus placements. The placements of our batch moving forward has been average due to the market conditions. Several companies visited this college few of them are Argusoft, Ion Digital, DeltaX, GreyB Research, ZS Assoiates. Till now placement has been very less of our batch but soon will get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have deposited around 3 lakhs in my first year and the caution money was 14000 at that time in 2021. I haven't done any counselling during my admission. From there onwards the fees from second year has been 1.8 lakhs per semester which includes hostel and mess with the acamedics fees. Development fees is arounf 17000 per semester. My category is GEN and this was the fee structure of General Quota. My friends in the SC/ST quota were paying around 35-40 thousand less. There are post-metric scholarship available for SC/ST/OBC worth Rs 40000.
Campus Life
Overall campus life is fine. I've made some great friends here. The technical festivals and the annual festivals are held every year and is attended by a majority. The Library is a good place to spend time while studying and access journals. The sports in this college includes cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, basketball.
Hostel Facilities
There are two types of room given to the students. Forst is a single room which they charge Rs. 20000 extra over the fees per semester and other is the 3 student sharing. The hostel are clean and electricity and water is provided 24x7. The hostel I think are little bit expensive but not unaffordable. They are the safest place I think of now.
Admission
When I applied to this college the placement was good. The feedback I got of this college apart from the academics was excellent. The infrastructure and the atmosphere was very popular among the several colleges. I have applied to JIIT Noida, BITS Pilani and VIT Vellore but they were offering Chemical and Mechanical Engineering after the cou nselling sop I refused. I got admissioned here just by submitting my marksheet of class 12th at that time in 2021. The college also asks for JEE results for admission process.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is about 1 teacher per 50 student inclusive all years. The faculty members are approachable and enjoy a very cordial student teacher relationship. The best faculty might vary but Dr. Amit Rathi is a common answer. Facluty who are not liked are in general Dr. Neelesh Jain, Dr. Amit Srivastava and Mr. Navaljeet Singh due their certain attitude towards students. The college conducts 3 exams and two practicals/ The exams are T-1(15 marks), T-2 (25 marks) and T-3 (35 marks) and the practical one are P-1 and P-2. The rest 25 mareks out of 100 are internal marks which include attendance and quizes and assignments.
