The journey of a doctor

My mother wanted me to become a doctor and i had interest in biology since the beginning and i wanted to pursue my higher studies in science so i choose MBBS and it was more than passion the joy for serving the community and helping people out that lead me to choose MBBS The MBBS COURSE provides an comprehensive medical foundation clinicla Skills and patient care preparing me for real time world problems by hands on training in the hospital i developed my clinical skills Treating patients communicating with them diagnosis of the patient was taught to me and I developed critical thinking and problem solving skills There should be more emphasis on preventive and community medicine There should be more focus on palliative care The teachers should have a clinical approach on teaching the student The exams are internals that are 3 in a year and with a pre final and final exams There are 2 papers for each subject and there are 3 subjects The difficulty level is hard

There is internship in our college and the stipened is 15000 per month and the time speant in the hospital is 8 hours daily roles offered are under psychiatry department the ortho department and the cardio department and the renal department There are days shifts and night shifts and the pgs are very helpful and kind and they help us out with basic and hard procedures and are understanding The patient beds are 367 in the hospital so it is large and the ip and op for a day is 200 patients mostly The stipened ranges from 15-25 thousand as per the internship College doesn't provide placements to us as we do our internship in our own college

The per year fees for my college is 14 lakhs as i took seat in manageme Quota and the management quota is also known as b category The admission fees for me was 40,000 with including tuition fees which was charged while the time of admission and as i have a reservation in bc-e i got seat in shadan merit wise There are some of my batchmates who give 22 lakhs per year which makes it around 1.1crore till the whole course finishes and some people are also present who got free seats and they pay 60,000 per year and with tuition fees of 45,000 while admission The lab fees charged by our college is 5000 before practicals and for lab records There are scholarships for people in a category free seat quota and the government gives the fees per year of 50,000 and there are provisions for management quota people also as they also can avail scholarship of 15,000 per year The fees in college is constant and it is a open gated campus and the exam fees is taken while the exams of 2000 rupee

There are fests like freshers for the juniors sports week and pulsation and aarogyadham that are celebrated in our college Pulsation This is held between three college sims, Ayaan Institute Of Medical Sciences,vrk as they are sister colleges and it is a big fest comprising of 5 days of celebrations it has sports cultural night cooking competitions and dance night and food stalls and other social awareness activities The pulsation is mostly done on a big platform The college freshers is given by seniors to the juniors and it is conducted outside the college and they charge a fee for the arrangements from each and every person The sports week comprises of football, chess badminton, table tennis ,cricket, carrom and other sports and the winners are given a price money together with trophy The aarogyadham is a awareness program mostly and it is celebrated with practices like awareness seminars by the faulties and then followed by lunch and activities

Facilities provided in the hostel are of two types AC hostel Non AC hostel AC hostel: It has ac facility and the room is spacious and it is shared with 2 people in it Non AC hostel: There is no ac facility but fans are provided with bed and study table and a rack for clothes The hostel fees is 6500 per month for non ac and it includes food also it is very expensive and the amenities are wifi and laundry which is paid by the students differently as they charge 1000 rupees per month for it seperately other than that there is a washing machine available in the hostel too and the washrooms are clean enough for using and there is a generator just in case tge light goes away and the food is not upto the mark in the hostel as there is no hygiene and no good food options in the hostel Breakfast comprises of idly vada everyday with tea The lunch is followed by rice curries and friday saturday non veg is provided The dinner has rice dal roti and curries and friday Saturday non veg

I applied in other colleges as well but as per my merit I wasn't able to join in them and as per counselling i was allotted in shadan i applied for deccan college of medical sciences and mallareddy institute of medical sciences and kamineni medicall college i got a chance for maheshwara medical college it was far away from my home so i choose shadan institute of medical sciences The process for enrollment is by writing the neet ug exam and the cut off for free seat in govt college is above 450 marks in telanga for provate colleges and for govt colleges it is 500 and i got 350 marks so i was alloted shadan in managment quota and i had Ayaan Institute Of Medical Sciences and maheswara as an option but shadan was a better college so i opted for it as for the better infrastructure and faculty they provided We have to submit or adhaar card bonafide from 10th minority certificate and post dated cheques and reservation certificate to the college and pay the admission fees while enrolling

There are 3 lecturers in pathology department one is the hod and the other two are associate professors There are 3 lecturers in microbiology and i like the hod maam the most and she is my favorite anamika maam as she helps us a lot with lab practicals and even study related doubts There are 4 lecturers for pharmacology and asif sir is the hod for pharmacology and he is also the in charge of our college he is kind and always helping I don't like asif sir cause he is always busy enough in the college work and he is strict and very arrogant and other than that he is better The associate professors are good enough and bery understanding in pharmacology department as they are patient and very humble they are very experienced and better in their profession Mostly the lectures in the college are just a mere formality as nobody is interested in listening to the class and everybpdy studies by their own as the lecturer just enter and reads the slides and leaves
