Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am someone who loves medicine and dentistry is art combined with medicine . We study all the medical subjects including anatomy , physio , briochem , dental materials etc . We have postings and practice on patients that develop our skills for future practice . The exams are moderate , you can get good marks if you are consistent and listen properly in class .

Internships Opportunities

5

We have incampus internship compulsory for 1 year . Due to a huge amount of patient flow we learn good skills and great experience that prepare us for our future practice and our stipend is nearly 24000 per month .

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees in pgids Rohtak for bds course is 37500 per year with no increment , adding the student fees, admission , lab , sports , development and other fees the total fees is 52090 per annum and it is same for all categories except students getting post metric scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many fests and events , one of the greatest being the ARMSCONs which is held in oct nov , with a great number of other colleges also participating in it . Our college has a good library facility . A lot of extracurricular activities and clubs are there in our college

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The meal in our hostels are great . There is a positive environment in our hostels though the washrooms infrastructure needs improvement but overall it is bearable. Registration process is simple you have to fill a form and submit some documents. Hostel is pretty affordable.

Admission

Pgids Rohtak was the only college I applied for as I wanted to pursue dentistry. It is because it is the best dental college in north India with a huge amount of patient flow that will help is developing great skills and experience

Faculty

4.5

The faculty here is quite good and very experienced. There are many teachers available. Bds is a tough degree but if you are consistent everything works , we have 3 exams per year of anatomy , dental , physio biochem . And the passing ratio is great

The curriculum of the first year is similar to that of mbbs cause the course has all the subjects present in mbbs and also 2 subject extra which is preclinical.so the curriculum of the first year is similar. Also the other years subject are similar to general medicine.

There are some subject which are going to be common with mbbs physiology and anatomy and biochemistry and also they are most difficult in whole course. The timing of classes are 8.10am to 3.40 pm.(extendable). You get a daily practical period of any one subject. You get 3 to 4 assignment every week and given time for each assignment is 1 week.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose Bds as there ar no emergency patients as compared to MBBS. If you can establish your own clinic you can earn a handsome money. You can be your own boss. The student ratio is also very good in our college. The faculties are very much educated and supportive. Though the studies are little hard still you can pass exams easily if you study hard. The exams are on time and the teacher will guide you very well for exams.

Placement Experience:

I am a BDS student so for us right after finishing our BDS we are eligible to practice ourselves. Now it is on you whether to go for MDS or not, or whether to move abroad for your practice, we have our internships in the 5th year where we are taught how to deal with patients in real life so our journey starts right from our internships, a lot of fresh Doctors who have passed out from this college are doing great in life. I have a clear set of thoughts in chronological sequence as to this would be my way forward which includes doing MDS and going for opening my own clinic after which I shall move abroad for my practice.
