Remarks

There was shortage of patients for doing clinical work. I just want that problem to be solved.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Everything managed too good including theory as well as practicals. Teachers can’t do anything if student don’t wanna listen. But for those students who has taken their course to be a doctor seriously, all doors were open. There was a lack of patients though i agree to this. We have to struggle for the patients. I used to call my known like mother, siblings and others to do clinical work done on time, so that i would be qualified for practical exams. But there nothing like secured on-campus placements. In my internship, only one team came that was also doing some non clinical stuff which was not meant for me because i like more clinical work.

Placement Experience

2.5

I was qualified in 2017 and i already mention that there was only one company who came for placement for the first time in PDM UNIVERSITY. I forgot the name. The process of selection was a written exam followed by interview. Our faculty told us about the exam process and about interview 4-5 days ago that was not worth. But our internship was good especially in clinical departments like ORAL SURGERY, PEDODONTICS, PERIODONTICS, ENDODONTICS, PROSTHODONTICS & ORAL MEDICINE & RADIOLOGY. We used to do patients, learning more clinical work.

College Events

4.5

Actually there were many cultural programs held every year. Like ANNUAL FEST, DENTIST DAY celebrations, Anti tobacco day, VOTERS DAY, PDM PARADIGM etc. I participated in PDM PARADIGM in Mehndi’s competition and Rangoli competition. I got 1st rank in mehandi.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee for one year was around Rs.2,30000 plus security amount of Rs.50000 that goes on increasing with every batch. Security amount was never refunded to any single student. But they manage this amount in the fees for the next upcoming years. Yes we have to pay additional fees for our practicals notebook provided by college and for our lab aprons and anything got damaged by us in the lab. No college doesn’t provide any transparency in fee- breakdown. We have to pay college fees via cheque or by DD in favour of Pdm DCRI.

Fees and Financial Aid

No,I didn’t go for any scholarships or education loan. But our college used to provide some scholarships for SC/ ST students. Students have to provide their schedule cast certificates along with their parents annually income. Don’t know much about it because i never go for this one.

Campus Life

4

In our batch, the ratio of Boys vs girls is 20:80. Yeah there are a lot of girls persuing in Bds rather than boys. Out of 100 students,20 were boys that was the highest till this batch. Some students from village, 20% from bahadurgarh, 40-50% from delhi. Students from every cast and religion were there including hindu, muslims, sikh etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

No, i was a day scholar not a hostler. We were not allowed to go in the hostel. But sometimes after the college i used to go there for study purpose with the hostler friend. For 1st and 2nd year students, 2 or 3 students used to share a single room but there were separate beds and almirah provided them to all. There are facilities for water coolers, cooler fans, and electric geyser.

Alumni/Alumna

Yess, seniors were very helpful always. They used to help us in doing lab work, how to proceed for clinical work. They used to taught us how to prepare for exams, how to answer the questions appropriately.

Admission

I got my admission on the basis of 12th class marks as well as my PMT score. I always wanted to be a doctor. This college was nearby me so i chose this one. I have to fill up admission form separately for PDM DCRI. There was a conference held in the Pdm campus for our admission.Faculty was all good, it was known to me already because my cousin used to study there.

Faculty

4.5

There were approximately 4-7lecturers in each departments excluding BDS staff. Average age of HOD approx above 38or 40. Other MDS Staff(30 and above). Bds staff may be 25 years old and above. Lecturers had good knowledge about their relevant subjects and yes they were experienced, only some of them are freshers.

Placement Experience:

I am a BDS student so for us right after finishing our BDS we are eligible to practice ourselves. Now it is on you whether to go for MDS or not, or whether to move abroad for your practice, we have our internships in the 5th year where we are taught how to deal with patients in real life so our journey starts right from our internships, a lot of fresh Doctors who have passed out from this college are doing great in life. I have a clear set of thoughts in chronological sequence as to this would be my way forward which includes doing MDS and going for opening my own clinic after which I shall move abroad for my practice.
