Course Curriculum Overview

3

Computer Science has been one of my favorite subjects so it was easy to pick Btech CSE as my course. The curriculum is okay in terms of usefulness, as some useless subjects are also present. It prepares you well enough for real world applications. My suggestion would be to remove some of the unnecessary subjects and focus on the computer science side for CSE students. The frequency and timing of exams is not okay. You have huge syllabus and then you cram to the last minute about everything you can read.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The year wise fee I paid is exactly 3 lakhs rupees per year, with 10000 rupees as a cautionary fee. The year wise fee contains all the development fees, lab fees, etc. There is a fee reduction for reserved categories. There are also scholarships available in the course based on your rank of SRMJEE examination. To maintain the scholarship, you have to score at least 9 cgpa at the end of every semester.

Campus Life

4.5

There are 2 major festivals, one technical and other non technical every year. Between them are held many club events students can participate in. The library is one of the best things in SRM. It has a wide variety of book, from study to fiction. Socially SRM students are very active, and there is no ragging in the campus.

Admission

I chose this college as it is near my home, and easily reachable. I got a few other colleges too, but considering the fees and distance, I ultimately took admission here. The admission process starts from your SRMJEE result, and after a few weeks you have to submit documents in offline, and pay the fees of the whole year. My overall experience is okay as per standards, there was not any hassle or problems created.

Faculty

4.5

The student to faculty ratio is 23.15. The faculty is extremely helpful and are ready to offer help to students in need. Dr Bharti Chandrayan is one of my favorite teachers as she is my class mentor, and she teaches Communicative English. There are 4 exams every semester, 3 Internal conducted by the college, and final exam conducted by the University. The first year course is in my opinion a little irrelevant as you have to study biology and chemistry.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is not that good. Hardly 2-3 companies come here for foodtech. But there are job opportunities for this course. It is a growing field. Outside the campus, if applied in any company, there are chances of selection based on the skills and knowledge one has related to the field

The records placement cell is impressive because they organize useful and up-to-date seminars from time to time. Therefore the placement record is one of the best in Greater Noida. Last year was 98% placement. Placements start from the 7th semester.
