What Students Say
Likes
- The campus is very lively that , i would feel happy just by going to the campus and there are many types of activities conducted and are hosted by the management that are able to make students enjoy the process of learning and gaining knowledge
- The infrastructure of the college is good and all the buildings in the campus are very admirable . Facilities like the library, computer lab , and other laboratories and auditorium and all kinds of essential buildings are maintained with utmost care.
- I also like the daily schedule of the students which helps us have a certain amount of free time in the day that can be used to do any kinds of internships or outdoor activities without any time deficit.
Dislikes
- Some of the things I disliked are the strict implementation of rules such as it is compulsory to wear an id when coming to the campus or else you are not allowed into the campus.
- The long and time taking procedures that should be done to obtain permission for fests is something I disliked.
- I also dislike the location of the campus because whenever it rains the campus has water stagnant, as it is built on a hill and the hostels are at the bottom it is difficult to walk to the college during rain due to the overflow of water.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is revised and updated and is verified thoroughly by the respective professors and if I were to give my opinion I would say that I'm very much satisfied with my daily schedule, in all the semesters that have taken place until this year and the classes were arranged such that there is no overwhelming pressure on the students.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are a beginning for a student so that he can start to gain experience through the training and work he has done through the internship and our batch has put in the request for internships and are yet to complete our internships but for the EEE branch the most likely internships offers with good experiences are present in steel plants , power plants and port , etc.
Placement Experience
Placement is alloted or given depending on the grades and the marks obtained by participating in the placement exams in which the candidates required for the company are recruited and they are trained by the company after they pass a total of 3 rounds of exams and a final interview. The students eligible for getting a placement offer are students with an overall GPA over 7 and the time student become eligible for placement offer is in the 4th year and from what I know the highest package was nearly 88lpa and its a company from Singapore.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college I attend to has two types of admission procedures, one is to go through the EAPCET Examination and the other one is to write the AUEET examination. The yearly fee for EAPCET candidates is 39500/- and the yearly fee for AUEET candidates is 100000/- and there are no types of financial services as it is a government college but the government itself has many scholarship schemes which can be found in the offical page of the university and until last year , one of the government schemes know as JVD has been in operation and by this scheme students who are eligible for this scheme will has financial support from the government.
Campus Life
I would say that my campus life has been a good part of my life and there are many types of fests and programs held in the campus. There are many club activities that encourage us to learn new things and the campus is very lively that anyone would be having fun just by visiting us. There is a yearly sports competition conducted by students of their respective departments and it is conducted under the guidance of the professors present in the department and the buildings are in good condition and the location of classes vary according to the year you're in. the college is in a good location and it is surrounded by every store that has student essentials. The buildings in the university such as library, etc. are well maintained
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are a bit old because the university was built nearly 80 years ago but recently they have been renovated and they are in good condition. So far we've not been facing any problems and it is comfortable as the hostels are very close to the university and the food provided is of a very good taste and quality but it will remain the same for the 4 years you stay in the college if it is as I assume and there are no sanitary problems and no water deficit in the hostel and the hostel are sound by many trees and others plants which give fresh air and as the college is near to beach it is very breezy and heartwarming and as time goes you will enjoy your hostel Life.
Admission
I chose this college as it one of the oldest college in India and also it is easy to obtain more information about anything related to subject and also to get information about different types of career paths.the first choice I put during the selection of university is Andhra University, EEE branch . The admission process is to join through two exam , they are EAPCET and AUEET , as for EAPCET through this exam we need to obtain a minimum rank of 6000-9000 for a seat in Andhra University, and it is a course of 4 yrs and these students are supported by government. AUEET is another exam where the student is self supported and this course is of 6yrs i.e 4yrs of btech and 2yrs of mtech.
Faculty
There is absolutely no scarcity for faculty in the university and all them are very experienced and have vast knowledge which is shared by them and is given to us students and also the examinations are held at the end of the semester and as for the branch I belong to , it is known it's complicated questions and strict invigilation and also ther is no scope for chesting in the examination.
