What Students Say
Likes
- I really like the faculty here. I also like the library.
- We have less number of students here which makes it easier to connect with everyone
- Supports extra curricular activities like dance, sports, theatre etc
Dislikes
- There was a huge delay for semester exams and results. But know it’s fine
- Doesn’t provide any placements after studies
- Doesn’t provide any heads-up before examination.
Course Curriculum Overview
The focus on constitutional law, family law, and Indian penal code influenced my decision. The curriculum balances theory and practice, providing hands on experience through internships. Research oriented subjects build a foundation for advanced studies like an LLM. Should introduce more interdisciplinary courses and enhance interactive methods like case simulations. Exams are well timed, but reducing assessments would allow for deeper learning.
Internships Opportunities
We'll get internship opportunities at nearby district courts, corporations, police station etc. Also there's a lot of advocate offices for the people interested in practicing and documentation. Also there will be an opportunity for the internship at high court.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't remember the first fee that I paid but from second semester the fee was Rs. 2392/- ( ?1575 for the tuition fee and ?817 for stationary fee). Then for the third semester the fee was 2427/- and the fee that I paid for the seventh Sem was 2452/-. This the latest fee that I've paid. The students having E-grants doesn't have to pay any fee but have to pay semester examination fees.
Campus Life
Our college often host moot court competitions, legal fests and seminars. Our library provide access to LexisNexis, HeinOnline, SCCOnline along with legal journals and case law databases. Our classrooms are not equipped with smart boards, AV system but we have a moot court for practical legal training. We have extracurricular activities like sports and arts. Also have legal aid cells and students run law journals with strong academic and social impact. The clubs include research, sports, dance, fitness etc
Admission
I didn't apply for any other colleges. I had scored 92nd rank in 2020 KLEE examination so I eventually got the college that I preferred. I chose this college for its faculty, library, and also for its history plus its near to my home. The admission process is really smooth. The eligibility for this course is that we have to pass Kerala law entrance examination. And if there is a good rank there we'll get admission in any 4 of the government colleges. Also can get admission in other colleges.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is fine. Also all the students have a great relationship with the faculty and vice versa. There are a total of 50 written examination for the 5 year course. There are 15 b.com papers, 6 language papers and 37 law papers which include 4 clinical papers. Half od the exams are moderately difficult but most of the students clear there exam.
