Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is direct to the point of placement. The exam difficulty is moderate to tough but generally everyone passed it . The frequency of examinations is ok. Improvement could be done in teaching methods like, more interactive sessions could be done

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Companies like Visa, Jaguar,Meesho, etc visit for internships and avg stipend is 100000 per month. The role is of trainee software engineer or web developer. You require pretty good projects with good DSA and CGPA.

Placement Experience

5

From forth semester students become eligible for internships. Campus placements starts from seventh semester. All type of companies visit this college indulging FAANG companies and service based companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys,HCl,etc also. Other companies like Mercedes, Boeing, Dshaw and many more visit the campus. Nearly 100% people get placed . My plan after getting the degree is to get placed in any FAANG company. The average package of CSE is 1260000 for the year 2024 and for ISE is 1350000 for the year 2024. The highest package was 5400000.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the year 2024 registrations , the yearly tuition fee was 280000 and 20000 extra to be paid as University fee ,etc every year i.e every year I need to pay 300000 for college. There is no as such benefit of OBC but for sc/st there is some scholarship. The fees is very low for people joining via KCET. You need to pay 100000 as hostel fee yearly and 25000 transportation charge and 10000 security deposit. Overall 135000 for hostel and all yearly.

Campus Life

5

Nearly all the festivals are celebrated, Great library available, all necessary books available and many out of context bike l books are also available. The classroom is simple not very quirky. All sorts of sports facilities available, champions are held in campus but not regularly. There are many student run social clubs.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

It is 3 person sharing room. The length and width is quite good. Provided with Cupboards for everyone, a bed for everyone, a study table for everyone with proper lighting and closing l cleanliness. Mess facility is available and medium quality meal is served. Hostel is quiet affordable at 100000 per year. Registration is also easy.

Admission

I applied for Kiit(cse), Chandigarh University (cse), SIDDAGANGA Institute Of Technology (cse), Dayanand Sagar(isc) but I chose The National Institute of Engineering and the reason was that its average package was more as compared to other colleges, it required to crack a tough exam which means good crowd, affordable fee structure, it is given the status of The Hub of Hackathon. To all the colleges mentioned above I didn't got rejection, only in Dayanand Sagar I got (isc branch and not cse breach). The exam which other states students need to give is COMEDK and for students of Karnataka it is KCET to get CSE(core) in this college you need a rank between 5000-6500. The admission experience was quiet smooth.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty to student ratio is nearly 1:20 . Generally most of the teachers are very helpful and kind and supportive, very approachable.I really liked the way of communicating of professor Vasana and kind of felt ignored (may be due to very busy schedule) by Professor Mike. Exams are not much regular, mid sem and final exams are there every year and unit tests in between. The curse curriculum directly hits the job cracking algorithm which is really good.

Other Applied Colleges

KIIT School of Computer Engineering - [KSCE] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

It's average package is less and fees is higher.

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.
