Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is well updated, although the teachers don't know the new trends so they teach from their old notes. There is no connectivity between the real world applications and further academic pursuits. The projects that are being teaches in the college are very basic and the college does not provides financial support for personal hi tech projects so there's no room of growth or improvement. The exams and not very hard but the checking by the externals make them hard, it's on the mood of the externals. The sem exams are in November and May usually an there a good period of gap for preparation

Placement Experience

3.5

Students become eligible from the seventh semester for the campus placement. Before the seventh semester, the students need to attend a 2 months training internship and this internship is not offered by the college, the students need to find it by themselves. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Amdocs, IBM, ICON regularly visit here and the average package offered here is from 4l to 6l depending upon the job role. The average package of this college is 4l while the highest can be 18-27 if the student is able to crack the company. Different companies come in different branches, some of core and some of digital and some of both and some of sales companies. Percentage of placed students have decreased from 80 to 40 in past 3-4 years and it is the mistake of the college for not approaching more and more companies and also the fault of students that they don't prepare well. It's fully on the student that does he wants to perform well an get placed or be a part of rest of the unplaced

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees increases every year by 10 percentage. In my first year, for ECE branch it was 150000 and now it's more that 180000 in my fourth year. The exam form fees every semester is almost 5k and it improves by 3k if any backlog exists. The fees for photocopy of a paper is 300, while the fees for reval for any subject is 1100 rupees.

Campus Life

4

Bharatiyam is the best of the college of engineering. I myself headed my branch in the college fest. I was the Joint Secretary of ECSA (ECE department) and was having a great position and responsibilities in organising the college fest for the students. Each branch conducts a game or rather a competition in which students from different colleges are also allowed to participate. And cultural events are also present in the fest. I've never been to library but I know this that there are books of use which can help in easily passing the exams. The systems in the labs are out dates, plus the students can be often be noticed stealing mouse and other things from the college. The big machines like CRO and function generator also not work properly. They are taken out during practical exams only. The clubs are very helpful here in the college, there are technical, art and cultural and branch clubs which are very helpful in properly opening up someone helping them hype their confidence.

Hostel Facilities

3

Boys hostel is very small according to the room size and costly compared to the fees which is 110000 per year. Only first year students can live in the boys hostel which is inside the campus, after that students take pg or flat outside the campus. The hostel which is inside the campus is known as D-hostel and doesn't has good food. The food is of very bad quality. There are two girls hostel, one is very costly around 250000 per year and has very high facilities and other is around 110000 and has normal facilities with bad quality of food, due to which the girls do not even eat food and end up getting weak. I live in a flat outside the campus, from a 5 minutes walking distance and the atmosphere at the night at the streets of the college is not good as there are many locals which are just roaming and disturbing the croud.

Admission

My most of the relatives have studied from this college and although at that time this college was good, but the college and it's working have been affected due to covid and lockdown. I didn't apply for any other colleges as I wanted this one only as my home is also near from this college. I don't know about current addmission process but it's like first come first serve basis depending upon the bvp cet score. If anyone didn't give this bpv cep exam, still in offline counciling, they can take addmission depending upon the seats which are vacant in the college and depending upon the donation being offered bybtge students.

Faculty

1.5

Each branch has 15-20 faculty members for 1-4 year consisting of 240-400 students depending upon the branch. Although all the teachers are here just to sit from 10-5, completing their day and rushing back to home as soon as possible. They just neglected the work which is one on them and the teaching standards are also very low. If any conflict is there with any student of teacher, then the teacher most probably fails that student in that subject and these things are common here like mass back.

The placements are good in the YCCE college as compared to other colleges in Nagpur. From seventh semester the students are eligible for the campus reqruitments. The companies that offer placements in YCCE are Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, wipro, Persistent etc. The highest package is around 24 LPA and the average package is around 5 LPA. Around 70-80% students get placed every year in the college. My plans after getting the degree is to get a secure job and spent time with family.
