Our course curriculum is CBCS method that kans we need to acquire the required composition of credits and we need to choose subjects which we are interested in and we can pursue our own interest also through this

Yes college placements are good we can expect a job after our college in our campus through our better skills and faculty are also well teaching and we also learn how to speak write in tests through ielts

Fees and Financial Aid

The few structure is about 100000and there are many scholarships that we can apply for and they are state national and even students who score more than 8 CGPA are getting a concession too and the few is also affordable

Campus Life

Yes our college also inspires us to participate in different cultural and curricular activities and we also get credits through participating in any programs and also interesting clubs are also there in our college

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is average and food is not at all good we can count the days on fingers on which the food is good to eat I feel like here the food is not at all good for South Indians like me and we are suffering in hostels

Hostel Fee: INR 85000 per year

Admission

In this college I can pursue btech through being a bipc student and in other colleges there is no such opportunities and here I can learn basic to the advanced level of study and in this college we can learn through fun

Faculty

Exams are based on CBCS method and we can choose our own subject and exams are resulted in CGPA and faculty are also very good and supporting and they teach very well and they mingle with students very well

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

Life at NIST

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

Placement are descent enogh. After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement drive and become eligible for internships in 2nd year itself. Highest paid CTC was 39LPA and average package is around 10 LPA.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.
