Likes
- The hostels for both girls and boys are really well maintained , cleaned daily and properly ventilated , the hostel is spread across on campus and there's also college hostel outside college.
- Boys are low in number for the course and the ones who join are well accepted by other peers , there's no ragging whatsoever and juniors are well accepted
- Campus life is awesome and there are lot of activities spread across the year conducted by the students union and college alike.
Dislikes
- The course is quite difficult to study in the first year and you need to get a flow to continue through the years.
- Hard work especially hand work is required much in the second year which can be stressful for some , especially pre clinical works.
- Lack of holidays and such can make most students homesick and most of the calendar holidays are not holidays for us.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum helps to create a graduate in Dental Science who has adequate knowledge, necessary skills and such attitudes which are required for carrying out all the activities appropriate to general dental practice involving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of anomalies and diseases of the teeth, mouth, jaws and associated tissues. The area that needs improvement is the use of advanced materials in the field which are not taught by the curriculum but self taught.
Internships Opportunities
Compulsory internship of one year is to be done after course completion , only by doing so will we get the course certificate , a meagre salary of 4000 per month is given during internship to the practicing interns and interns can also take up seminars or research topics under different departments and go through it. Internship is divided among different departments. Stipend of 4000 is not enough for anything, but it's given.

Hostel registration is done during admission and rendered 5 each year. I rented a room 3 kms away from college and commit to college using my bike Pay rent of 2k per month and food from outside.
Admission
You need to get pass marks in physics, biology and chemistry in higher secondary and need to be eligible in neet entrance exams and apply in the allotment and if you are eligible you will get seat in the college of your choice if you have good marks , depending on reservation categories the seat availability may vary. I didn't get admission to psm dental college which was my first option because i didn't have the seat availability in OBC category. Second option was EDUCARE.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio varies with each year and faculties usually take good care of the students and make sure everyone is going along with academics. Each year has that one special faculty who takes after the students and cares for them and also listens to their personal problems and there's mentorship programmes in which a mentor who is a staff is assigned a certain number of students to look after and keep in check throughout the year. There are a total of 5 sets of exams and the last one being just after 6 months from the exam before. There's practical exams for each subjects and usually practical exams are easy, but theory is hard to pass.
