Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As our college is autonomous body so we only design our exam papers and our faculty only check those copies. Many old branches such as electrical and civil used those traditional curriculum and last time it was updated was around in 2000 but new branch was added last year (ECE- IOT). Which has new advance curriculum.Vlsi and drone lab was introduced last year in our college. Our college is focusing more on ece core. But from this year, 1st year has to study only 5 subjects in first semester and all has a credit of 4 points, this is fascinating for the students who are preparing for some other domains, as it gives more free time for students to explore other domains such as Gate and coding along with college studies.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Many companies visit our college most of them are mass recruiters and some are good companies I'll list down some of the companies 1. Idea cellular (VI) 2. Adobe system 3. Airtel 4 Amazon 5. Capgemini 6. Cognizant 7. De Shaw and co 8. Ericsson India global 9. Jk cement 10. Juspay 11. Mahindra comviva 12 Microsoft (pool campus) 13. Lava international limited 14. PepsiCo 15. Snapdeal 16. TCS ninja 17. Zeta global 18. Tibco 19. Larsen and turbo 20. Hexaview technologies Except some the companies all of them offer a placement of Below 10lpa Some internship companys are Amazon Microsoft HCL JTG(josh technology group) Most of them are given post of SDE-I during internship and conversion of ppo is also good.

Placement Experience

3

Placement of upper branch is decent but most of the lower branches doesn't have that placement. Average placement combining all the branches was around 6-7 lpa and maximum was taken by a girl from CSE branch (i.e. 52lpa). Here core branch student prepare for gate and other competitive exams such as ssc-cgl , engineering services and all. Because of poor location many good companies don't visit our campus so students have to apply for off campus. From 6th semester students are eligible to apply for placements Many mass recruiters company visit our college but some good companies are also visited in last placement drive such as Amazon. Around 700-800 students were eligible for placements, during last placement drive 500-550 got the placements so around 70 percent placement is seen here among eligible candidates.

Fees and Financial Aid

Money of around 91 thousand I'm paying as college fees yearly that includes Tuition fees , Caution fees , registration fees etc. And I'm hosteler so I have to pay extra of 54 thousand as hostel and mess fees a year( hostel fees is 24 thousand and mess fees is 30 thousand). Adding all the money for my course it is going to be around 6 lakh. In my first year I got a scholarship of 58 thousand from up government and if this amount is given to me for upcoming years also then it would be around 2.3 lakh after my completion of course. The scholarship varies for other category students, for OBC it is given 58 thousand a year for sc/st it is given around 90 thousand and for General students it is given 64 thousand. Fee waiver students are given relaxation on tuition fees (i.e. 60 thousand per year). Fee waiver students are not eligible for up scholarship. Other scholarships of 10-20 thousand given to outside state students under some circumstances. Caution money of 10k is taken.

Campus Life

3.5

Abhyudaya is our annually fest and it is held in the month of April for 3 days every year and many small fest are organised throughout the year. One of them is techsrijan that manly focuses on sports and extracurricular activities it is held every year in the months of November and December. We have a Library that has many books and a siting capacity for around 200-300. AC rooms are also there in library but non AC rooms are there in majority. ITRC has desktops so one can use them for coding and watching lectures only. Student have given access to Digital library, so one can access them wherever he/she wants. We have a big ground for sports and all the equipments and present in the sports complex. Greenery is sports ground fascinates me most. NSS and NCC cadets is also there in our campus and visit of Yogi adityanath and many great personalities is very common in our college. Recently nambi narayana ISRO scientist visited our college for convocation along with anandibenpatel (governor)

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Non AC rooms are provided in hostel and warden has given us permission for keeping small cooler in our room. In first year we have given 2 seater and 4 seater rooms with 1 and 3 almirah in room respectively. In 4 seater room 4 table and 4 chair is also given to us similarly in 2 seater 2 table and chair is given to us. In first year 2 hostels were given to us namly tagore bhavan and vs hostel. In 2nd year 3 hostels are there namely tilak, ramanujan, ambedkar bhawan. In first year mess is funded by government so the quality of food is better than 2nd year's hostel food. Paneer is given to us two times as dinner in a week. Egg is the only food given in non veg category. During admission one need to fill form for hostel to get hostel. Due to shortage of rooms students who are near to college are not given hostel they have to take some pg or private room outside the college. I'm from prayagraj so I've taken hostel and the hostel food is the major concern for me apart from all the thing.

Admission

One needs to give jee mains and has to apply for mmmut counseling in order to take addmission in mmmut. I took this college because this is a government college and many aids are provided in government college. Along with this, Government college has less load on college studies and plenty of free time is given to students. And from the very beginning I'm interested in giving gate examination so I'll have free time for preparation of gate as the placements are not up to mark so many students here prepare for gate. Average placement is around 6-7 lpa and maximum placement was 52 lpa from my branch only. Fees is also very affordable as compared to other private colleges. I applied for some aktu colleges but mmmut is far better than most of them. Only one college of aktu is better than us (i.e. IET Lucknow )

Faculty

3

Talking about faculty so I have a mixed feelings for them. All the professors are top notch in terms of teaching and content providing But the guest faculty are not that great many of them are just teaching for PhD stipend and have zero knowledge about the subject. There are also some guests faculty that are toppers from the college itself. One of them is Arun tripathi sir he is a topper from mtech and gold medalist also from Madan mohan malviya only now he is teaching us DSA(Data structure and algorithms) Professor that I liked the most is PK Srivastava sir he is our maths faculty. It usually happens that we have to refer YouTube for understanding the subject but in case of maths we totally depend on pk Srivastava sir.. I didn't like most of the faculty but one of them was sudha ma'am she taught us C programming in first year and she doesn't even know the basic codes of c and she is from up board so the pronounciation of words were the nightmares for us in first year.

This year the placement ratio was significantly low and only few mass hiring companies came to the college. The companies were either startups and have no significant market presence or they were recruiting selective students. The main goal is now to avail a offer off-campus or to change the focus to some other competitive exams for higher studies.

The campus selection have not been good since the pandemic and mostly the top layer is offered job in campus placements. But since Bhadohi is a carpet hub so you don't have to worry about placements and focus on your studies. There are many companies that visit our college like Vardhaman, Standard Carpets, Champo, Surya Carpets, Agni, and many more ( You can get the list of company on IICT's official website). The highest package offered was about 10 lakhs by Standard Carpets( Dubai ) and the acerage package is 3-4 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed by campus selsction is 30-35 and then some of the students give GATE entrance exam and go for higher studies in reputated IITs. Some of the students get settled in their local areas.
