Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course curriculum at ashoka center for business and computer studies as fairly comprehensive but with some room for improvement in terms of relevance. the focus on modern technologies like AI, Blockchain and web technologies strongly influenced my decision to take this course. Exams are held thrice per semester.
Internships Opportunities
There arent many internships available since start but in the third year, till now 1 company came for internships with 5000 a month stipend. they asked for python developer, java developer and PHP developer.
Placement Experience
The campus placement is fairly better than most colleges in my city. Students become eligible in the third year which is 5th semester. TCS, Infosys, eaglebyte, capegemini, etc have came before. average package in one of the company was 3.47 lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure at ACBCS can vary depending on the course. for undergraduate programs such as Bsc in Computer Science, the annual fee is around 50000 rupees. however, it may vary based on scholarships for castes. For a 3 year course the total fees may go around 1,50,000. The fees is almost stable during the 3 year tenure, infact it got reduced a few hundreds. I know students of ST category who pays around 17000 manually. There are also college scholarships available based on different criteria.
Campus Life
Campus life is not that fun here at ACBCS. there are annual cultural festivals but not at a level that other colleges conduct. The library here has decent range of books it isn't that big library but okay. There is now wifi and smart boards in many classes. sports are good. There are many clubs.
Admission
I chose ashoka as i felt it aligned with my academic and carrer goals at that time. i didn't applied to other colleges because none of them stood out to me as strong in the specific course. The admission process was quite smooth and easy. most of the process was online, and easy to follow. There was a single visit later to scan the original documents. The eligibility criteria was relaxed with 50% or above required in 12th and there are no entrance exams for BSc CS.
Faculty
The faculty at Ashoka center for business and computer studies is well versed in their respective fields, with many possessing advanced experience. The faculty to student ratio is 1:40, allowing for personalized attention during lectures and practical sessions. there are 2 main college level exams, the midterm and the endterm. and then there is University exams.
