Course Curriculum Overview

Relevance: 7/10: The curriculum is quite relevant, covering the essential topics and skills. But the curriculum could be more relevant and well structured. Real World Prep: 7.5/10 The curriculum prepares the student well for real world applications - with a strong focus of practical skills and problem solving. However there is always a scope of improvement in terms of preparing the students for future academic pursuits. There should be more focus on research and research- related skills like critical thinking, academic writing and literature review.

Fees and Financial Aid

Graphic Era Hill university candidate is eligible for a number of scholarships - ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP, female candidate scholarship(10%), Ward of Defence Personnel , Loyalty Concession and Sibling Concession (7.5%). Also our collage provide a scholarship to the students having domicile of uttarakhand state(25%). Students who pay yearly fees together they get 10% more discount as compared to the students who pay fees semester wise. I paid overall approx. 200000 rupees for the first year. My friend he paid approx. 250000.

Campus Life

4

NSS(National Service Scheme): Its aim is to promote unity and a sense of responsibility among the students through voluntary service. NCC(National Cadet Corps):- Its aim is to promote unity and discipine among the students. Kavyajali:- It is a poetic club for the students who are interested in poems and shayaris.

Admission

I first applied in the UPES(University of Petroleum and Energy Studies). It is also located in Dehradun. But the fees in the UPES was way out of budjet. It was not very economical. I then chose Graphic Era because it was more pocket friendly. And i find it more worth then UPES seeing its investment - return ratio.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are very decent in the btech department. The faculty members are less approachable. The interaction between the students and the faculty members is only limited within the classrooms. The name of the faculty in my first semester was Dr. Neeraj Dhiman Sir(Maths Faculty). He was very friendly with the students as compared to other faculty members. He was a motivational speaker to the students at the times of need. The name of the faculty was Dr Amit(Physics Faculty). His method of teaching was very monotonous and boring. He has a lot of knowledge. He did very less interaction with the students in the class. There are two exams in one semester- mid term and end term examinations. Mid term exams are easy and the End term exams are from easy to moderate levels. Usually in a class of 70 students, approx 10 students get back in examinations.
