Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Computer Science and Engineering because it has very good career growth. CSE offers various courses in that field like AI, Data Science, cyber security, Ethical hacking, Web development, and many more. The placement opportunities will be increasing every year so it was a better decision to choose CSE. The curriculum prepares for real-world applications by making you ready from basic to the very core subject of the course. It may be good if the CSE course has hands-on teaching classes for core subjects like programming it will be easier for the students to understand the programming languages.
Placement Experience
From the third semester, students become eligible for campus selections. There will be nearly 15-20 companies visiting our college only for CSE students. Separate placement drives will be conducted for other branch students. Nearly 80% of the students will be placed in every academic year. Every student is eligible to apply for all the companies. The highest package of our academic year is 20LPA. My plan after getting a degree is to pursue post-graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
For EAMCET-qualified students, the fee structure is perfect, as there is fee reimbursement for the first year you need to pay nearly 9000 which includes your college fees and the building fund, and for the coming semesters, you can only pay the building fund which will be around 3500. Management quota students need to pay an amount of nearly 50-60k every year. There is no need to pay an additional amount for the lab and library everything is available for the students free of cost. No scholarships are available for students in B-tech.
Campus Life
We have two clubs Sanskrithi and Techrithi which will be conducted for three days in June. In Sanskrithi club, the first day events are poster launching and flash mob, the second day stalls, and the third day, the program is started with a lighting ceremony and then a few words from our respected principals and, after lunch students will do dances. Techritz club events include technical quizzes, writing contests, and workshops. In our college, there is no need to buy textbooks because we have a very vast library consisting of every book from the first year to the final year students. We can have the book for a while of 15days after that we can return the book to the library. It also includes journals, and preparation books for gate, cat, and also for competitive examinations. Every classroom has a projector so that we can visualize the lesson the lecturers are explaining. Akshaya Foundation where students will collect money and visit an orphanage and give them necessities.
Admission
I applied for GVP, ANITS, and VIGNAN colleges. Among these, I got selected for Vignan Women's College. I had asked about the college environment, faculty teaching skills, and placement opportunities offered by the college from my senior fellow members, who have already been admitted to that college. The admission process in our includes document verification, and then submission of the original certificates for the organization. The exam accepted for this course is EAMCET. Students who have qualified and got a rank can apply for different colleges. Based on their rank they will get selected by any of their chosen colleges. Most preferred courses are CSE, ECE, and EEE.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio will be 7:10 The relationship between students and faculty is transparent. Faculty members are approachable and available for questions and discussions, which encourages students to engage more deeply with course materials and allows us to seek help when needed. Beyond teaching, faculty members often serve as mentors, guiding students in their academic pursuits, career planning, and personal growth. The college will conduct two mid-examinations in a semester. After that, the university will conduct the final examination, which has 4 different sets of question papers, and the difficulty level varies for each paper.
