Likes

faculty is very experienced in their work and very nice people and a very g8 way of teaching.
campus very big have many department,their are labs canteen and all and a very beatiful garden
course is very relevant to the curriculum teach only the important things necessasry

Dislikes

placement in the college is very low , all the classmates are preparing for off campus only which a downside
social interactions seems very constraint but there are many clubs to deal with it
they are very strict with document provide after 2-3 months

course is very relevant and comprehensive,as the college is affiliated to ptu syllabus is givenby ptu ,they teach according to hte new pattern.provide real world application to the concept taught in class.

Fees and Financial Aid

fees is very decent for the college, they 3500 one time fees for registration and 30000 for semester wise it is constant throughout.yearly i would pay around 60000 per year including gst and all. some students can get discount if they get admission through teacher.there is no aid for general category but there is for sc/st student

Campus Life

campus life is great if you have nice circle ,club involvement of students seems very less.but there are sport day every year ,, there are no technical or annual festivals ,books are very easy to get in library ,

Admission

i applied to cgc jhanjeri but there were no seat left .i couldnt make it into cg as i though i had very much time and i could apply later but the last seat i had in my hand went away .so i choose dgc where seat was present and very near to my house package in dgc is less compared to other, class strenght ia also less, campus area is also very less.. admission process is very easy just enter into admissions office and give fees and all set

Faculty

course is of 4 year with 8 semester there are final teat by ptu every end of semester and mid semester exams.1:30 is faculty to student ratio.all the faculties are nice , and excellent method of teaching.i havent given any examination but senior said it is easy tomoderate level.

Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
