Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is highly based on the practical basis. Due to high patient flow one can get a very good experience from this college. Curriculum of 1st and 2nd year includes both practical and theoretical subjects. From the 3rd year Patient experience is starts.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is to given in the same hospital. With stipend of 15k per month for UG. For PG Students stipend of 62k per month is given. Internship of 12 months is to be done. Which includes posting in all the different departments for given period of time
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution Fee structure:- For 1st yr: Rs. 80k With every year hike of 10k till final year. Internship in the 5th year with a stipend of 15k per month. Other than these there is only examination fees of Rs.2500 per year. Scholarship is given to SC/ST students from the government of Punjab.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is really good with all new dental chairs are being installed by the government. Proper facilities of vehicle parking is provided. With proper lab facilities also. Extra curricular activities such as poster making competitions, seminar etc are organised regularly. There is Annually Sports Meet and Annual Fiction is organised followed by freshers party as well.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is combined with the GMC hostel. Yearly expense of hostel is 42000 without AC. For AC rooms extra 23000 is to be given per year. There are four blocks of hostel having their dedicated Mess and canteen facilities as well. Hostel also have a dedicated parking area.
Admission
First due to low fees structure and paid stipend i considered this college. Being a government dental college patient flow is very impressive. Admission is through NEET followed by the counseling process. It is one of the top dental college of Punjab.
Faculty
There are in total of 8 faculty members. 6 more are already appointed. Faculty to student relationship is very good. HOD of all the departments are very cooperative and of good Nature. Difficultly of course is between medium to hard level. University exams are conducted once in a year. There is no semester system. There will be only one university exam at the end of the year.
