- If I tell about the things which I have appreciated will surely be the faculty member as they were very interactive and excellent at their work. I think college needs to get a proper canteen on the campus.
- My overall engagement with the campus life was good the quality of social interactions I get was decent there were many talented students I interacted
- There were several career advancement support provided by the college itself. I was part of Medhavi Bootcamp Foundation it is an organization which help students to develop their personalities and make them industry ready.
Dislikes
- College doesn't have a proper canteen facility which sometimes caused trouble, because during our early morning classes we had to skip our breakfast. Although, there are several restaurant's out side the campus but they don't open in early morning.
- The campus is quiet small as compared to other colleges. Washroom gates don't work. Sanitary Pad machines also not work.
- The college has one lift which is only used by the professors and disabled students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the college is also quite good, My department frequently organized many campaigns regarding mental health-related issues. We used to make posters to the awareness of many disorders.NSS team of the college also presented Nukkad Natak which increased our awareness in many aspects. There were also extra curricular activites organized on the campus like Cricket tournaments, Chess, Badminton, Tug of war competitions etc. State initiatives progams also held in college to promote and educate students about the real world. If I had to mention about area of improvement then it would be about the irregular way of classes or canceling class without any information as it happend several times with me and our class. Frequency and timing of exams were sufficient as the college was not responsible for exam schedules the University handles all the exams and the timings. There's no diffculty in terms with exams as they were easy.
Fees and Financial Aid
In the first year, we paid a total amount of 11,300 rs for regular seats which included the College Fund, Development Fund, and Maintenance Fund (5,600+3,800+1,900 = 11,300). In the Second Year, we paid a total amount of 11,300 rs same as the first year. In the last and final year, we paid a total amount of 11,800 rs, which included an extra 500 rs for the one-time alumni charge and the rest was the same. There were different charges for SC and ST candidates it was half charge of the General candidates. There were also paid seats for students which included an extra amount of 10,000 in regular seats for the B.A. Arts and, for B.A. Social Sciences included an extra amount of 15,000 in regular seats.
Campus Life
Overall experience was good. Facilities and technological provisions within the classroom were average. Our college used to hold many sports and extracurricular activities like Dance competitions, Badminton, Chess, and Tug of War competitions. Cricket and other sports tournaments. Several students run social groups and clubs but I am not aware much of them.
Admission
I chose this college over other colleges because it was affiliated with Banaras Hindu University and it got NAAC "A" accreditation. I always wanted to join a reputed university and BHU is among the top universities in India. Admission through my college is completely based on CUET now. When I got admitted to BHU took a separate entrance exam for admission.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is a bit weaker. As there are many students in the bachelor's program but the faculties are not sufficient according to the student ratio. There is an impressive faculty in the college. Faculties such as the Department of English, Department of Economics, and Department of History are exceptionally good. Faculty of Psychology no doubt they are good at their work, and their lectures are impactful but they don't give students marks up to what they deserve. Their marking scheme sometimes becomes problematic to the student. Exams are quite easy for students to crack if they just go through the previous year's papers. Students do fail sometimes due to irregular attendance or irreverent answers
