Review on Nirmala College Of health Science, Chalakudy

The course curriculum guided by the Kerala University Of Health and Science, is a meticulously detailed syllabus. It deals mainly with paramedical courses, medicines and drug actions. Chemistry and ethical pharmacy.

The campus holds a placement drive at the end of each educational year. The students are eligible to particip In their final years. The mosy prominent companies include Appolo Adlux hospital, and others 58+ top notch companies are visited in the campus

The college has a dynamic fee struct, changing a bit each year. Overall range of the fees is in between 1.25-1.5 lakh rupees per year. It also offers a scholarship based on an entry exam named Varghese vattoly scholarship exam. The college also supports scholarship from other government and non governmental institutions, like MERIT CUM MEANS (MCM) and e-Grants etc.

The college hold various programs independently as well as in conjunction with other colleges in the campus. There are mainly 8 programs conducted annually without fail; 4 major and 4 minor events. The most attractive and programs to look upto is the college day, onam festival, Christmas events, and the infamous Hola Nirmalites, welcoming the freshers. There is a technologically advanced seminar room which holds various workshops seminars and national conferences. A yearly sports and arts events are also conducted.

The girls hostel facilities, not directly of the college, is mainly available in the town of chalakudy, which is privately owned. There is no particular college owned hostel for the students. Particular suggestions not to avail the hostels suggested by the college, as it is not worth the cash being paid. Better to opt pg facilities or living independently. Monthly expense of 6000 on average.

The college is placed at an advantage location, lying in between two major cities in kerala - Thrissur and Kochi. The college, comparatively holds more programs and workshops than other peer pharmacy colleges of the state. There is a wide range of festivals and art shows, musics fests etc, which is an added attraction. The admission procedure to the college is via KEAM entrance test as well as through direct admissions granted after a short interview.

There is a 1:12 student to teacher ratio in the college. The course curriculum is a standard; even though recent updates are yet to be brought upon. The college conducts regular exams, moulding the students and grooming their knowledge. There are very good teachers including the principal, currently Prof. Dr. L.Sudarson.
