The management is strong and committed to serving the students. They are meticulous and always look out for us. The college is one of the best in Mumbai and I'm proud to be a student here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum and exam structure are set by Mumbai University. The college takes great efforts to make the curriculum lucid and research relevant. Every lab has an out of syllabus experiment to broaden the minds of the students. Midterm exams are taken before the semester.
Placement Experience
There is a separate placement cell that overlooks the placements of students. A number of companies have visited the college to interview final year students and some of them have already been placed. Internships are given during the summer vacation after the third year. The teachers help find companies and also encourage you to find your own.
College Events
The college is extremely lively and supportive of cultural life for students. The annual festival called Spectrum is celebrating in February. It is a grand event that together with all the students. The spirit is invoked right from the beginning of January and grows until the final event.
Fees and Financial Aid
I was awarded the Ratan Tata Scholarship for Meritorious students in 2017-18. The website mentions the required details to be provided, along with attestation by the college. The process is online.
Campus Life
The campus life is vibrant and safe. The number of girls is more than boys. The population is diverse and has a sense of belonging to each other. There is no segregation of any kind. There are various extracurricular activities, mainly in the second half of the year.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, there is an annual alumnus meet arranged every year. Also, the Alumni Cell takes efforts to arrange educational talks by Alumni and seniors.
Admission
I got in through the second CAP round. I was called to the college to fill out other forms and for an interview with the Principal. The admission is extremely transparent as there is no management quota, although the college itself is Sindhi minority.
Faculty
The faculty members are highly qualified and dedicated to teaching. Both conventional and electronic methods of teaching are used. Handwritten as well as typed notes for every chapter are provided. The teachers are friendly and professional at the same time, which makes them easy to approach.
