There was no entrance exam when I took admission to this college. In year 2000, it was all based on merit of marks scored in science + maths in HSC (12th Std). Ours was the first batch of the college. Lecturer was not so great. Placement cell was not there at all in college that time.

I wont agree that course structure was focused towards research. There were many useless subjects in curriculum. Emphasis was not given to subjects which are useful to CS students. More subjects related to latest programming languages which are running in markets should be kept.

College doesn't provide any internship. As I said earlier, there was no placement cell in college that time and I think they didn't event tried getting one during those four years.

It was a self finance college. Fee structure was little on higher side if we compare value of money during those days. For open category, fees was around 12000 Rs per year. For management quota seats, it use to be 40000 Rs per year. There use to be NRI quota seats also available but dont know the fees for the same.

I have no idea any such scholarship / loan facility which were available. I did not event heard from any of the college staff about the same.

If I describe college life, it was good. Gender ratio was around 80:20. There was not much extracurricular activities happening out their in terms of technical things. There used to activities related to sports which I have mentioned at top. I haven't heard abt any sexual harassment related stuff during my four years in college there.

I dont think college has any alumni. College has never invited any of us old students for any alumni related events. I would love to go their if any such events happens to meet all my college mates.

There used to be 2 internal and 1 final exams in each semester. Internal exam papers used to be set by lectures of the college only. For final exam, the question paper of any particular subject used to be same for all 3 engineering college that were part of university. There used to be a lab exam also for few subjects and oral viva.

As I said in my earlier comment, ours was first batch of the college. There are 2 more engineering colleges in same town and students passed out from those colleges were kept as lecturer with very few senior lecturers/professor. I can say that, those new lectures were still in their college days and used to treat students as though they know everything in the world and they are the best.
