What Students Say
Likes
- Industry visits. These are the best parts of college don’t miss out. They took us to BAMUL and diary day factories.
- Multiple business related clubs- finance, marketing. The selection process for all clubs are pretty tough though.
- Every year they host events for international students. I look forward to this all year. You can meet people from all over the world and different cultures
Dislikes
- Environment and crowd. I don’t feel like I fit in tbf. Majority of the students are marwadi, Jain and the locals.
- No campus. We just have one building with 6 floors, it’s like a little office.
- You have to pay for EVERYTHING. CMS cup is a sports fest that happens every year, to participate in anything you gotta pay.
Course Curriculum Overview
There's are some unwanted subjects Indian bazaar was a pointless course we had in our second year. Open electives we have language options like French and Spanish but learning it for a couple of months is a complete waste. Otherwise, all subjects are good, there's a lot of theory to learn. Nothing except experience and skills prepare you for the corporate world tho. Exams aren't too difficult. If you prepare from the modules sent to you, you'll do fine in your exams. There are 2 unit tests before finals. These marks are considered for internal
Internships Opportunities
Small companies mostly show up for internship fairs. The biggest companies were Swiggy and decathlon this year. There's unpaid as well as pay upto 18k internships. Most of them are 5-10k Some of the positions are marketing intern,hr intern, social media marketing, sales executive, business management executive
Placement Experience
Campus placements begin in ur final year. We have an app called superset for this purpose. All final year students are asked to register on this app rn. Your package starts from 2.5L to 7L. There were a handlful of students who got into top companies as well. Companies visit college for internship fair from 2nd year. Small companies as well as a few big ones like Lulu hyper market visited us last year.but I doubt they picked anybody or even held an interview for the interested students???? End of the day you gotta make use of the opportunities given to you
Fees and Financial Aid
As an International student first year fees were 325000. You can speak to the Uni and ask to make partial payments as well. College provides financial assistance with liquiloans. I'm not very sure about the details but there's plenty of students who've opted for this. Fees for regular students per year is 250000. It differs from course to course. You can also opt for govt scholarships. I'm not aware of the details but do your research.
Campus Life
You can find info on college fests on CMS website. We don't have a campus. The infrastructure is disappointing. It's one standing building with 6 floors. Classrooms have fans. There's one big seminar hall with cushion seats on the first floor. All the other seminar halls are ones with chairs. Only SH have Acs. One computer lab and a gym. There's timings alloted for using the gym, diff times for boys and girls from diff years. MFT(management fest team) and CFT(cultural fest team) these are the main clubs MFT manages and runs all the fest. You can only sit for MFT selections in ur first year. Selection process is rigorous and long. CFT is the dance, music, art, fashion, drama and theater teams. If you got the talent that they're looking for you're getting in for sure. These selections are open for all years. Apart from these womens cell, yuva ignited minds are student run clubs. Sports and MUN is also available.
Admission
The admission process for international students is easy. You will be assigned a counsellor who will help you with the admission process. She'll tell you all the requirements etc. I only gave a personal interview and got in. If you're an international student, you're getting a seat for sure. Domestic students have to take an entrance exam and take a PI.
Faculty
Great profs, they're all well educated with high qualifications. Majority of them are fluent in English. The teachers get better each year. First year teachers might not be the best. 60-70 students in a class. Teachers use presentations to teach. Modules are sent later for students to refer from. Some teachers are fun, some are interactive. Some just teach and leave. You can always approach them later in the staff room if anything. The HODs are nice as well.
Interview Experience
Nri studnets just have to attend a personal interview on zoom. They asked basic questions just prepare well before attending it. • introduce yourself • your goals and future plans • your strengths and weaknesses • why Jain university? • why Bba? • is Jain your first preference? For domestic students you might have to go through a longer/ tougher interview
