Life at PU

I have chosen BCA - Full Stack Web Development. It is a 3 year course. The degree has a 4 projects (3 Minor and 1 Major). The subjects are all releated to core Computer Science (EG: Java, C, DSA, Developmet). There are a total of 6 semesters. In each semester there are two exams: Mid-Sem and End-Sem. Also there are regular class tests in every semester which is conducted on the university's platform

For internships, mostly startup companies hire students, The stipend can be unpaid aur can go upto 15000/- per month, Companies like, O2H technologies, JioSphere etc provide interships to the students, THey give certain task for the candidates to complete, mostly are related to projects and coding

Every year around 150+ companies visit the campus for hiring. A student is eligible on the basis of the following condition: Must be in final year 75% minimum attendace 7.5+ CGPA The Highest package is of 37 to 40 LPA (There is an increase every year) The average package goes from 5 to 7 LPA There are almost thousands of candidates sitting for the placements every year. Since the competition is high, only the skilled ones are hired

The Fee structure is as follows: Semester Fee: 48500 (6 months) Total Academic Fee: 29100/- approx Per year hostel fee (depends on the type of hostel): Non AC room deposit: 5500 Ac room deposit: 20000 Per year hostel fee average (non ac room): 100000 Per year hostel fee average (ac room): 125000 There are scolarships available for ST/SC/OBC. They get usually 15-20% aid in the academic fees

All the cultural festivals are celebrated here with hype and enthusiasm including (Navaratri, Ganesh Chathurthi, Janmastmi, Holi, etc). Apart from these there are multiple libraries availavle in every department, with all the available book. Htere is also a central library available. Events like Tech Expo, Cultural Fest, Dhoom keep the univerisity alive, student from every department take part in the events. There are multiple football fields, indoor sport areas, basketball ground etc available

The hostels are well maintained Every hostel has a mess on the ground floor. There is a monthly fixed menu. The food is provided 3 times (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner). The food quality is not upto the mark. But is not bad either. Each hostel has a nice and high speed wifi (200 mbps) To register for the hostels one has to go the admission cell in admin block.

For medical courses there is an entrance exam, for other courses one has to have 70%+ in 12th. Reserving a seat in the college costs 10000/- The admission is confirmed after reserving a seat. For admission process, an individual is assign to each one of the new comers to guide through the admission process.

An average faculty to student ratio is 1:70, at this ratio the faculty is able to teach the subject and also allow the students to ask doubts, meaning that the faculty can focus on the students. The Faculty is nice and cooperative, they are not rude. Most of the faculty are experienced and always interact with the students nicely.
