Remarks

I will not give any negative remark as it is one of the best colleges for LAW.

Entrance Preview

During my academic year that is 2011-2012, the admissions were given on merit basis of TYBCOM. My TYBCOM percentage was not too great. I had passed first class and in that much percentage this was the best college one could think of. I had rare chances of securing admission due to its merit list but somehow in the last list I saw my name and jumped with happiness

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum has helped me too much in my career today. I had completed Company Secretary Course and LLB was the best decision of my life. It has helped me learn so much about the laws of our country and also international taxation. Highly recommendable

Internships Opportunities

No. I don't think I ever had a chance where I could find out if they provide internship. So not sure but mostly no

Placement Experience

4

Placements are average. Not too many but in a city like Mumbai which is filled with opportunities I never had to wait for placements. I had applied online on job portals and within a month I got the internship and also employment. LLB as a career option if highly recommendable

Alumni/Alumna

ALUMNI NETWORK IS GOOD. SOME FAMOUS LAWYERS ARE PASSOUT OF THIS COLLEGE BUT I DONT KNOW HOW HELPFUL THER ARE

Exam Structure

The entire course is divided into 3 academic years. The exams are held twice in once academic year. The entire course is divided into 6 semisters in 3 years. Once, the name is reflected in the merit list you have to fill the admission form along with the orignal TYBCOM marksheet and submit the admission form with Demand Draft. They give you 2 3 days time to secure admission. Post submission of the documents reciept of the admission is given

Faculty

The faculty of the college is very nice, helpful and enriched with knowledge especially the principal of the college Ms. Kavita Lalchandani is a hidden gem. Softspoken, helpful and understanding but at the same time strict too so that students are in discipline. Attendance is compulsory

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum specially the first two years focuses more on subjects like history, political science etc and prepares are foundation for law. The curriculum is well inclusive of the practical aspects of law as well as the theory which prepares you well for the real world applications. The course can be improved via adding the amended laws like add in GST to the taxation laws. The internal as well as semester exams are conducted once every semester. The difficulty level is easy to moderate for both. We get a study leave of around 20-25 days before every semester exam to prepares ourselves well.

The curriculum is extremely outdated. While NLU students are learning about law in thier first year itself, we have to wait till 3rd year for the same thing. A lot of students end up learning more at internships rather than at college
