Ethiraj is one of the most prestigious college in the Chennai City. The college timings for the Aided stream is from 9.00 am to 2.15 pm and for self supporting is from 11.30 to 4.45 pm
Ethiraj has all the facilities required for the students.

Ethiraj College is affiliated to Madras University. The college suggests students with books from many different authors. The books recommended by the college are well more relevant and comprehensive than the referred books from Madras University. Students can also refer to books of different Authors in the library for better understanding.

The placements are extremely good. For B.com, the big 4s like Deloitte and EY come for placements. The average package is

6 Lpa in Deloitte
3.8 Lpa in EY
9 Lpa in Barclays

Companies like Citi corporate, HPE, BNY, Presidio etc comes for placements with an average package starting from 4 Lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure from the morning shift is 3000 per semester maximum since it's an aided stream. The fee structure for the Evening shift is 39,000-43,000 per semester. The college doesn't charge any other extra money. The exam fee is around 1400 per semester. The placements here at Ethiraj are extremely good. People can accept around 3 Lpa and if goes upto 9 lpa.

Campus Life

Ethiraj is known as the development hub of interpersonal skills. The college conducts more than 5events in a week on average. There's extremely good campus life and social life. The college has a Debate club, literary club, quiz club, western dance, eastern dance, extension clubs, and many more.

Admission

For aided stream the cut off is 400/400, people with 395+ can expect calls in the third merit list. For self supporting the cut off is 360+.
Basically, the admission process consists of filling of application form once the results are out. The students are shortlisted through merit criteria with the release of 4 merit list in 10 days intervals of time between each list.

Faculty

Most of the faculty in Self-supporting is from the same college. They all experienced the same before becoming a professor. Teachers are well-educated, kind and approachable. Students can clarify doubts to the teacher through WhatsApp.

Best friendly college with quality education

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students get campus placements. Highest ever is 80LPA i think from deloit or KMG. Mostly students get placements about 75% get placements. My plan after getting degree is clear CA inter and finals.

A view on recent days MCC

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.

From the 5th semester onwards the management made various efforts to conduct oncampus And they made it. Some companies which visited our campus is tata groups , vindhya e infomedia, wipro etc. Highest package offered is 3,00,000 per annum most probably 80 % of students placed. My plan after degree is to place in good reputed company.
