Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum and the syllabus here is vast and we can gain a lot of extra knowledge too And regarding exams we have 2 semesters per year and before every semester we have 2 internals and some assignment to be submitted.

We often engage in lots of internships were we earn a bunch of experiential knowledge As a psychology student I have went to lots of schools to create mental health awareness and to many industries and working factories to seek their work stress and mental health

Placement Experience

The placements in the college is quite decent minimum nearly around 7LPA I have seen many of my seniors getting placed in great company's and with good package 75%of the students would get easy placement based on their skills and knowledge and there's a inbuilt course in the college called CDC career development course to improve those skills

Fees and Financial Aid

As my course comes under self finance it's a bit high in range It ranged around 80000 per yr They provide scholarship based on your marks and some case based on your reservation too There are many other courses that my college offers in a low cost range

Campus Life

Infrastructure is great. The peaceful environment and the friendly people around makes the environment peace and calm.and about classroom we have decent sized classes with technological access. There are many clubs to get engaged like eco , literary, journal , sports, cultural, mental health and etc

Admission

In case of taking admission to engineering in SRM University, you need to complete an entrance test. In other cases, you need atleast 50% score in your boards. And course availability varies according to your percentage

Faculty

On my department,my faculties are great and we can go interact to them anytime during their working hours. They're well knowledged and are very down hearted to help students. They gives us lots of aid to master the subject and tell a lot of life survival skills too

The pros and cons of avinuty

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relavant to the coarse,iam a nutrition student and I came to study abot nutrition,but I have also learnt about microbiology, food evaluation,food making,food safety rules,food entrepreneurship etcc which increases the variety of opportunities based to the course. Iam happy that iam learning about diet planning which is why I chooses this course. It really helps in real world opportunities as they allow intership s,practicals,practices, competition etc.. The area it needs improvement is the language skills of the professors as there are other states students there some people cannot understand tamil so they have to teach intwo languages. The timings of exams is not that bad there is one and half month gap between exams.

Actually the college provides placement for the students and especially to the lower background students at the max. The college collaoborate with the govt. dept. to create placement drives in the college. The salary is not that much attractive still its okay only.

Placement Experience:

The placement will be happening for the 3rd year students who have registered already by paying 6000 rs. The topics companies like Accenture, TCS, wipro,etc come for placements. The highest package is around 3.5 lakhs per annum . I am opting for higher studies.

Remarks:

The infrastructure of the college campus is very good and peaceful as well. My college has a vast library which works from 8.30 a.m to 5.30 p.m on all working days and study holidays. Here if a student wants to borrow any other books other than his/her course, they need to seek prior permission of the Principal to get them books.

Chose SRM University mainly because of its strong reputation in engineering, excellent infray,and placement opportunities.I has applied to a few other private universities like VIT Vellore and Manipal University.while I did get a confirmed admission from one,i felt SRM had a more vibrant campus life,better connectivity to Chennai City, and a strong alumni network. The Student Life at SRM IST

I am a dropper, I got 75k something rank but that year cutoff for the colleges in Delhi skyrocketed for general category like nothing before. So I didn't get any college in Delhi, took a drop and applied then here at this college and Amity University Noida. I cleared both bht I preferred this college over Amity University because of many reasons - fees, cultural activities, student crowd, placement.
