Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course and curriculum is quite interesting according to my point of view. As I have mentioned I choose zoology as I'm having interest in the field of animals and mature . I love to interact with the nature.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee is nominal for every student. As it's s government college fees is not hiked at its peak. E Kalyan and national scholarship can applied by the students in respective subjects. There is no compulsory charges except if we have to go to field trip then only we have to pay the charges

Campus Life

4.5

The annual festivals have also been organized in our college like Durga puja and some other pujas. From time to time some environmental programs have also been arranged for us. The books and journals are well arranged in our college library. The classrooms have smart boards which is very beneficial in today's study era.

Admission

The eligibility of the course is you must have a bachelor's degree in zoology. The application form is seen in the website of kolhan university itself. There is no reservation benefit as such. There is no entrance exam in my university. But you have to qualify your bachelors with a good percentage. There is no admission process issue as such.

Faculty

4

The facility to students ratio is kinda good . There are not much students si there is not much noise and all the doubts of the students are patiently solved. I interact with the teachers very well. They answer each and every doubts of mine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is CBCS curriculum. The method of teaching is good. The course is structured in such a way that it is going to help in further NET examination. So much content in course which going to help in future examination. But the only problem is that the course has vast content for per semester. The papers should be in a certain kind of combination that would be better for the students to complete the course within the limited time period.

I had done my graduation in the same field, so it is obvious. The Faculty: Student ratio is about 60:1. Teachers are the well-qualified majority of them possess a Doctorate in their respective fields. A syllabus is generally completed within time and has a better sense of teaching. There are Semester wise exams. It was not so difficult.

The curriculum is very easy. The faculty members are also friendly. But there are not enough faculty members. You also won't get perfect professors who can make you understand everything. There are a few professors who are very good when it comes to teaching skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The 5 year Integrated MSc in Applied Physics curriculum at CUJ is splendid on paper. The syllabus is geared towards Nuclear physics, Material Sciences, and Photonics as most of the faculty are from these fields. The implementation of the syllabus however is subpar. Although most of the faculty are very qualified going by their qualifications but the teaching is usually below average. There are some brilliant and inspiring teachers who are not only highly qualified but also excellent teachers. Some of them have left the university in recent years due to variou reasons. The faculty to student ratio is good, although the quality of faculty has gone down in recent years. Each semester has three sessional exams and one final semester exam. These exams are essentially regurgitating type with mostly asking derivations and numericals that are repeated from previous year papers. The exams are conducted on time and are easier to pass by rote learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been a science student and I like physics that's why I chose B.Sc. physics, The faculty of KMC was well educated and in good proportion to the students, the teaching method was also highly professional and very easy to understand. The exams are conducted timely and the question paper levels were ranging between easy, moderate to little tough but overall always from the syllabus.

Placement Experience:

From last semester students because eligible for campus placement selection, there are many companies like to visit our college such as Wipro, Tata, TCS, Prabhat khabar, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar, etv news, reliance, big bazaar and many more renowned companies. Usually companies offer a contract of minimum 5 to 7 lacs per annum for starting year. 50% students get placement here, because as I told you that there first year package is poor and the companies want us to sign a contract that we will never leave the company for at least 3 years which is not good in my opinion because everyone wants to explore different possibilities. I'm one of those 50% who didn't got the job, after getting the job my plan is simple I'll try to prepare for government job for 5 years if not succeed I'll do my family business.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose MSc Physics because I am in love with the subject and as I had completed my bachelor's degree in Physics itself, Msc was the most suitable choice for me. In Doranda College, the faculty student ratio is quite good, it's 5: 40. There are 4 permanent faculty in Msc Physics Department and 1 guest faculty Dr Rajeev Asthana. All professors hold a PhD in their respective subjects and are very experienced and humble in teaching. Information about mid sem, project, practical and end sem exams are been circulated through what's app group of the department around 10-15 days before. Some Professors are very cooperative and guess questions and help students but performance in end sem depends on your hard work.
