Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose bcom because i have opted for a professional course called company secretary. The curriculum involves commerce related topics. If youre confused whether to opt for bcom or bba then id suggest bcom since it involves many aspects of bba as well.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I'm not aware of the internship opportunities since I'm still in the second year. The internship will be mandatory and is supposed to be completed in the final year. But you can opt for other internships outside the college, the college will be supportive regarding it.

Placement Experience

4

I dont know much about placements yet, but i think the placements are good depending on your personality and performance. Almost 80% do get placed. My plans after degree is to pursue mba or cs after gaining few months of experience theough internships

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fee structure for a year was 70000, but i did get a scholarship of 60000. They calculate it based on your 12th percentage. Theres many scholarships available for stufents especially if you dont fall in general category

Campus Life

4.5

Clubs is the best part of college, they also comduct fests occasionally. A good range of books are available in the library. Sports and extracurricular is also available. Theres also a gym which the students are free to use. Clubs impact on student life is that they get to develop and grow personally and professionally

Admission

Admission process was smooth, there was a walk in interview and the director of the college talked to every student personally. No college would do this, they took time to talk to every student taking admissions.

Faculty

4

The teachers are friendly, they do clear doubts and manage the class very well. They have many years of experience in teaching and everyone is well qualified for their respective subjects. As far as ive observed theres no discrimination among students. The teachers in bcom are pretty chill. I personally like few lecturers approach to teaching, they have a unique style. Some teachers even share things about life in general apart from all the academics and i find it very interesting and motivating. Its also a way to keep the students interactive. They tell life stories of various people to encourage us. Approachability is also flexible, they are super friendly and will treat you as in if you are kind as well.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
