Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum is good , that influenced my decision to choose this course 'BAG-bachelor of arts (general)' they covers easiest blocks for exams and question papers are easy and almost one or two questions from previous year with good weightage/marks .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

For me , I didn't pay admission fee or any other fees , I only pay for exam fees which is 200per subject and for 8 subjects total is 1600rs . There is no scholarship, and they give financial assistance and fee waiver for economically weaker section (EWS) , and sc/st category. And for first time admission takers and those who are sc/st category there is no fee for them .

Campus Life

3.5

Ignou is a open university and their is no campus life or library provided, maybe in some other locations they provide but in delhi I haven't experience any involvement with college or campus. They should've to organise any festivals or programs for students to involve and make social groups and they should have to arrange classes to interact with teachers and share their doubts.

Admission

It's admission process is very easy and similar to other universities. But it takes longer time to approved, like 2,3 months . Eligibility criteria for taking admission is flexible any one(age 18 to above)and 12th passed can take admission, for specific courses like bsc, ba(psychology) or b.com, their is different eligibility criteria on qualification basis. They should improve the admission approval timing .

Faculty

4

I haven't interact with faculty and teachers as it's a open university. But I've interact with exam centre teachers and they are very good and kind , also faculty and college/school also very good in aspect of space , cleanliness, and environment, and rules.

There wad quite good relevancy what was being taught by professor , not just for exams only but for real life as well. There should be internships and placements that need to work upon. But I could say overall it was good

Placement Experience:

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.

Placement cells do not provide placements to English graduates. Only a few companies came to hire English graduates. I'm planning to do a master's or B.Ed to secure a career in teaching after my graduation.
