Course Curriculum Overview

5

I did M.sc with fish and fisheries as speciality in final year because nowadays because of growing population throughout the world humans are facing hunger and shortage of food and that have had encouraged the practice of aquaculture. It not only provides food but also contributes to India's economy to large extend. And also fishes are very useful in indicating any type of water pollution due to pesticidal runoff or any other pollutants and hence quite beneficial in determining the health of aquatic ecosystems.

Internships Opportunities

1

I have received no internship opportunities from cource. But one could apply for paid internship in final year instead of going on that afformentioned tour. If one have choosed fisheries as speciality than can get internship in CSIR, Lucknow or in BSIP on their own expenses.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Annual fees for masters in zoology is 37000 per year with additional expenses for projects and paid workshops and internships. With a mandatory tour to south or north India of approximately 20000 for exploring flora and fauna. Additionally the experimental setup for final year dissertation needs handsome amount of money depending on your relevant topic

Campus Life

3.5

Campus Life was very much exciting with new experiences and it helped me to structure my personality and increased my interaction abilities with high level of confidence. The infrastructure of the college is aesthetic type not at all modern with old fashioned labs and seats.

Admission

No entrance exam to get admission in masters but have to pass entrance exam with maximum of 80 percentage marks in under graduate courses. Exam was in objective pattern with the duration of 3 hours in the year 2020.

Faculty

2.5

Not all the faculty members are interactive. Some of them are too assertive and partial towards students.they discriminate students on the basis of their background colleges and provide privilege of they are ex-IT students. Some of them are very helpful and interactive and provide relevant guidance throughout the course of session.

Placement Experience:

I don't know about campus placements but no student is sitting idle since there are other prospects as well in which a student can pursue their work. Research and other government exams. Also it seems 100% placement is provided some students settle for lesser packages depending upon their merit credibility and needs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this because I have an interest in plants as they are the backbone of our mother earth. There are 80% of the students are female and the rest 20% are male in my faculty. In my faculty, 2 professors are from Oxford University and the rest are from LU. Term exams are scheduled after every 5 or 6 months which all are average.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to pursue Toxicology because I did my graduation in Microbiology so I always wanted to opt for something that has great research scope. There are 25 seats in the Toxicology program but in my batch, we were only 9 students. There is enough facility to match the program detail. Every teacher has a different set of teaching methods so it depends on what method you like, I really liked how experienced professors use to take classes instead of on new teachers that focus mainly on how many pages you can write for a particular answer. But all teachers are super helpful and will help you in any matter, for me I was living in the hostel so they helped me in all ways. They have 2 internal exams and 1 final exam in each semester followed by 3 assignments and 1 seminar and practical exam. Each semester has 4 subjects so you will have 4 internal exams for each subject that will be of 15 marks, and final exams will be of 40 marks and 80 marks practical.

Amity is huge and great platform for many people. Some of them can really show their talents and can shine very well with all opportunities the college provide them. You can really adapt many good things from here. The only problem I feel is the hectic schedule of my course the time table is really exhausting.
