My experience from PIT vadodara

The institute is under GTU(gujrat technical university) . My parents are also engineers , i can say that what they use to study in the first year of engineering was total worthless (phy,chem, mechanical)and not at all relatable whereas i was taught subject that were actually usefull for me like (C, OSS, M1)etc.

You have 3 options for internships. Get a paid internship from college and work from them as coordinator or in admission cell. Secondly you will recieve mails on the official student mail from the college about the internship opportunities. Fill them and take the job. Thirdly and the easiest, found yourself a intership in Vadodara through connections they will pay you good but mostly one has to work in night shift as work from home is a myth and intership with college is impossible.

Placement are as usual what a private engineering college offers in india. 8 lakh is the average package and 38 lakh was the highest package from engineering field. You will easily get a job in gujrat if you work on skills and have some good connections. But talking about the college placements they are average and everyone doesn't gets it.

Fee for btech CSE is around 1,32000/year which have to be paid each year which remains the same .The university also offers a specialization course with companies like Microsoft/oracale along with cse and it has a fee of 1,78000. You will get a scholarship if you score more than 70% in boards that's it.i got 25% fee waiver in my tution fee for 2 sem.Also the college provides internship to the students of 2 and 3 year with roles of core coordinator and event managers with a stipend of around 17-20k per month.

Campus is beautiful. Food courts ,open ground theatre, horse riding fields, football ground it has everything but a swimming pool. The campus is huge but also crowded. There is a variety of students from all over the world. Campus rules are also strict , student cannot leave the campus without gate pass and if you want to visit the city you can go only between 6-7pm for boys and 5-6 pm for girls. Clubs are useless don't join them (no one does).

Hostels are great. I no longer stay in campus hostel due the food related issues. The food is very bad in taste but hygienic. If you are not from gujrat you will taste many dishes that you never had eaten before (you won't like them). There are around 20+ hostels and offer rooms from 3 sharing to 8/9 sharing room. Rooms are great and hostels too have a great aritrcture.

It takes a complete day trust me. I tell you the steps as i have worked as a student intern in the admission cell. First fill a form of 1000 select the course. Fill the form attach your documents. Pay the fee (atleast half) Visit the campus hostel (hostel for the 1st year should be preferred) Campus tour Then original documents to be submitted MIS and portal id will be made. Thats it. But the entire process takes too much time as at the time of admission the crowd is huge.

Mostly all the facilities are gujraties passed out from MSU (the other big name in Vadodara). Few of them are truly like gems. But the main issue is that faculties are changed every year. And they do hire contract based teaching staff from a third party company byte-excle. They are great but also too young to trust your career with.
