Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is well structured and helps us to embed skills required to work in the industry. Howover, in some branches that include specializations , the number of subjects are too many and students have a lot of pressure on themselves having less time to enhance their skills. Besides that every course has course objectives which are well drafted keeping in mind the needs of real world applications. The course curriculum could reduce the numbr of subjects to enable students to focus more on the parts which could be more benficial for their future. two sessional exams are conducted in between the semesters, kind of like class tests for students to test their knowledge of the syllabus covered and one end semester examination is conducted with each exam having a a max score of 75 marks and 25 marks are evaluated based on class performance, sessional marks amd attendance.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

There are several companies who visit for internship opportunities like Cadence, STmicroelectronics, Maruti suzuki etc. They offer SDE roles, and electronics roles. many companies viist the campus for internship opportunities offering Marketing roles too.

Placement Experience

4

The students become elgible for placements or internship opportunities in their 8th semester. There are several big companies who visit our campus like Samsung, Google and the placement percentage is about 80%.The average package is about 6lakha nd highest goes upto 22lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee structure of our university is super affordable and even for the students who belong to economically weaker sections there are provisions for scholarships. Separate scholarships are their for ST, SC students and girl child belonging to EWS.

Campus Life

3

Fests are not conducted regularly on a yeraly basis even, in my tenure no fest has been conducted and only once fresher has been conducted for my junior batch. The libraray has a very wide collection of books, and specialized areas dedicated to students preparing for UPSC. There are a lot of clubs in the universities almost covering all the domains like technical, art, cultural , innovation. The clubs are highly active and provide students a lot of experience on leadership and organizing events.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostels are decent. The no of students sharing one hostel room are 4 which makes it suffocated and the amenties are not evenly distributed. The washrooms and premises is not that clean and quality of meal is below average. The hostel staff is not cooperative.

Admission

The admission to Btech courses is through JEE Mains marks. The cutoff for computer branches goes till 40k rank. There are reservation categories for Kashmiri pandits, students belonging to EWS categories and. You can apply for the admission on HSTES website. The counselling for all haryana government colleges is done through this site only. The application registration generally starts, after the JEE Mains result has been announced.

Faculty

3.5

The teachers are friendly and have a good grasp over their subjects. The staff is ample to provide attention to students. The faculty not only focuses on teaching the concepts but also focus on providing practical knowledge to the students as well. The teachers are always open and ready to address doubts and help the students, exceptions are always there. Few teachers are a bit strict also but overall the faculties are good. The teacher to student ratio is 1:25 and most of the teachers are Ph.D holders.
