All about SGMCRF

Institute provides good opportunities to improve our clinical knowledge and communication skills by interacting with patients and examining them . Exams are held in between each semester to enhance the theoretical knowledge. There are anatomy, physiology, biochemistry in 1st year..forensic was in 2nd year but now it's in 3rd year along with community med..Ophthal and ENT merged with the 4th year subjects..this has increased the academic stress among the students.

1 year of intership is compulsory...stipent is very low..but it really helps to improve our clinical and communication skills, can work under different departments, learn by observing and assisting senior doctors. Afte completing the internship, you can work as a junior doctor her itself or at any other hospital.

Tution fee is as per the guidelines issued by Kerala govt. Other than that, there is a special fee , hostel fee and other expenditures. It's high when compared to foreign colleges but lower than many other private colleges in India. Scholarships are available for sc,st and oec category. Stipends are very low when compared to other colleges.

An eco-friendly and gender neutral campus. Almost all important festivals like onam, Xmas , Holi.. are celebrated every year. Apart from that, valentine's day, college day, batch day,graduation.are also celebrated. Extracurricular activities include music , dance , swimming, cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, throw ball, tennis, badminton,.. clubs are also available for the same. Gym is also available in the campus.(Timings are different for boys and girls).

3 hostels are there ..2 beds per room..2 room share a common bathroom. A and B block rooms are spacious than other c block. Lift facility is available. Average food.. affordable. Many rooms are also available outside the campus..rents vary from 7000- 13000/month.

Eligibility: +2 passed and NEET Qualified Reservation available: Obc, sc, st, oec University exams are held every year, most difficult being the 1st year and final year exams. Suggestion: It would have been fair if they reduced the number of reservation seats so that more eligible candidates could get a chance to study MBBS.

Teachers are friendly, highly qualified and experienced. There are a good number of faculties. Students can reach out to them any time and clear their doubts. Mentors are assigned to each student to assess their mental health and provide them support to cope with the academic stress. Some teachers may show partiality..just ignore them.
