Remarks

Before writing any college application essay, it’s important to know your audience and what they are looking for when they read your essay. Admissions officers are looking for likeability and fit. They want you to tell them a story about you that they can’t get elsewhere on your application. It helps give them a wider picture of who you are and what you’re about so they can make more informed decisions about your candidacy.

Entrance Preview

I highly recommend everyone read more about college before they go. Consider some alternative routes, look up how much it’ll cost you, study something marketable or that’ll make sense in the long run, and NETWORK. What you major in matters more than where you go for the most part, and find that balance of what you know and who you know. Save time and money as well as stress levels by being smart about this. Whatever path you go after high school, you’re going to have to work hard and grind. No one has life all figured out after it ends, but that’s fine. Just make the most of what you have and be happy.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Go to the official website https://jecrcuniversity.edu.in/ There under academics, you'll find schools. Under schools select whichever school you want, then the branch, then in the right section, you'll find a link called courses offered. Then you should be able to download the curriculum of the corresponding course.

Internships Opportunities

You can try to write to individual professors in the CSE department. Plus you may get a faculty in CSE department of IISc as your project guide if you apply via IAS (Indian Academy of Sciences) Summer Research Fellowship Program.

Placement Experience

Placements in JU are good For CSE/IT it's near about perfect ECE has its good share of fortune most of the times EEE struggle in packages but the companies are branded and in core, fields starting packages are less only Mechanical and it's specialization streams have mixed fortunes of good core jobs to management based profiles Civil placements I don't have much idea BioTech normally doesn't opt for placements and go for higher studies but good firms do come like Biocon, Dr.Reddy, AstraZeneca Overall Placements are more than average in JU

Fee Structure And Facilities

Just Add it Up This assumes a 10% per year inflation on a 1.35L base per semester including about 0.8L for side expenses (outings + night mess + mongi + other needs) the expected money you gotta spend: 2 * 1.35 * (1 + 1.1 + 1.1^2 + 1.1^3) * 10 ^ 5 + 8 * 10 ^ 4 = 13.3L Now what you may not know: If your parents (mom+dad) have a pre-tax yearly income of below 5.5L, merit-cum-need scholarships are REALLY easy to get. A CGPA of 8 will get you 70-80K per sem rebate. 80% was it?

Hostel Facilities

It's above average!! The conversation which I have had about mess food with a couple of my friends who are from different colleges has brought me to the conclusion that mess food served in VIT is much better than other colleges!!! A special mess is pretty good!!! However, most of the Vitians including me complain about mess food. Generally speaking mess food in other colleges/universities are better

Alumni/Alumna

Overall, I am pleased with my Babson experience. I feel like I have a good set of Alumni that I can reach out to and touch base with. I'm now working for Virool, which does YouTube Views, Video Seeding, Video Promotion, and was started by a Babson Alum, so I'm definitely happy with my Babson education and I think I will definitely derive a lot of value out of the degree I've received from Babson

Exam Structure

I gave BITSAT on 19/05/18 in the 2-5 PM slot. I scored 305 marks. The paper was as expected, although the difficulty was slightly higher than last year's. I started with English/L.R. section first then chemistry then physics and lastly maths. I had 110 correct and 25 incorrect questions. The section wise analysis of the paper is: English/L.R. English Please do not take English lightly. Out of 15 questions, about 2-3 questions will be confusing. Generally, students will find questions related to vocabulary difficult unless they have high command over English. Other than vocabulary, questions were asked based on rearranging the sentences, analogy (eg. Wood:furniture::??:??), inference from paragraph (these are very confusing) and general grammar. Reasoning section This wouldn't be a trouble to aspirants at all. Questions asked are ridiculously easy and anyone can easily solve them in under 5 minutes. Chemistry I found the question in chemistry tougher than maths and physics. As usual, there were about 4-5 questions from biology so leave them blindly. Questions were focused more on inorganic but the other 2 sections had almost equal weightage. For inorganic, chemical bonding had the highest weightage. No questions were asked from environmental chemistry and polymer. Some questions regarding structures of medicines were asked from biology (you will not find these structures in chemistry book of NCERT). Physics Physics was the easiest. I only left 1 question in physics and I could solve almost all questions easily. Questions were asked from gravitation, electrostatics, rotational motion, NLM, linear motion, relative motion, atomic structure. No question from semiconductor or communication systems was asked. Mathematics I found this tougher than last year's. Questions were from unexpected chapters like statistics (do revise everything from NCERT). Questions based on sets and relations were confusing too. Probability was also not very easy. Out of 45 questions, I had difficulty in around 10, the rest 35 was a breeze. Final advice Try not to panic if you are unable to solve a question. Leave it or mark it and come back in the second round. Try to complete the paper early so as to have about 30-45 minutes for revision. It is very important. Try to complete about 130 questions since I always used to have 20-30 incorrect questions. By doing this you'll secure over 300 marks. Lastly, believe in yourself. You have studied 2-3 years for this exam, definitely, you'll make it big. You might not believe this, but I scored a mere 128 marks in JEE Main (30k rank) yet I was able to get over 300 marks. Trust me, it'll be fine. Best of luck!!

Admission

There is no entrance exam for admission in above-mentioned courses. Those candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal education are alone eligible to apply. The admission will be done on the basis of the performance in the qualifying examination (10+2).

G.L Bajaj comes down heavily on its faculty members if the result is not at par with the best colleges in the region. This applies to all department. So, the HODs and teachers put their best for good result. CS department is good when it comes to knowledge. They have enough to share with you. You may be disappointed at times. But it’s O.K since engineering is not 12th class. It’s so vast; not everyone knows everything. You may find teachers studying and researching on Google in their cabin. This indicates what’s being presented to you is coming out of a sincere effort and not lackadaisical. Teachers are not that strict. This doesn’t mean you will roam around in the campus when it’s lecture time. G.L Bajaj is infamous for having a dress code and a school environment. You can hardly realize being in a college until your second year. Dress code is good. It brings a sense of equality. But teachers calling your parents and telling your attendance and marks and your behavior with slight exaggeration can be a little frustrating. But it’s O.K. At least this will help you wake up early and score the minimum marks. :) Apart from this, some of them are very supportive and benevolent. If you sport a proper demeanor, they will certainly help you.
