Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum have many real-world applications due to patients and clinics. The teaching methods are way beyond just textbooks and are a great way of learning. The fact that dentistry covers much about the human body too is quite fascinating to me.
Internships Opportunities
The internship year is unpaid and one gets to learn about most of the dental knowledge that they get here in this year. You get to learn about management, leadership and so much more than just basic dentistry in this year. Internship has to be continued here in the OPD of the college itself.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are quite reasonable in comparison to other dental colleges across India. You can avail of much financial aid here as a student belonging to the reserved as well as minority castes. There are not many hidden charges apart from the tuition fees and refundable deposit.
Campus Life
The campus life in comparison to huge colleges is not much, however, with the difficult curriculum throughout the year, there is not much time to focus on extracurriculars. The annual sports week, cultural events, and the annual day is something that all VDC students eagerly wait for.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is great, especially for female students because of clean and spacious rooms, attached bathrooms and toilets and daily housekeeping. The restricted timings are pretty great too and the warden is strict yet friendly
Admission
The NEET exam is the universal exam for medical and paramedical course admission across India. The minimum criteria for admission here is NEET eligibility. All you have to do is visit the college in person and fill in the form.
Faculty
The faculty members are quite qualified and hold significant positions in the Indian Dental Association. They are quite approachable and the student to faculty ratio is more than enough too. They help us learn about much more than just dentistry.
