- Fests are conducted often, your extra curricular needs will definitely be fulfilled
- The food is amazing, there are multiple food courts which are multicultural
Dislikes
- They charge you fines for every little thing. And fines are quite high
- The mess food is not super good, it's edible but they could definitely do better like little kids
- The guards are too strict, men and women can't even be friends platonically. They treat you
Course Curriculum Overview
My specific course has various outdated subjects which wouldn't be of much need in today's age. But I suppose reading about what came first can never be bad But I hope they will also include more modern topics. And more practical topics too. I want them to teach actual skills and not just subjects. A degree doesn't get you a job, your skills do. I'd like to think exams are spaced out quite nicely
Placement Experience
You become eligible for campus placements after 2nd sem. Companies do visit and make offers quite often. Highest package was 24 lakhs p/a for this year. About 40-50% students get placed, it's not so high. I'll be moving out of India after my degree
Fees and Financial Aid
My course stands at 1.5 lakh for three years. Which is not so bad frankly. You get a percentage off the first semester fee if you've scored over 70% in boards. There are sports scholarships too. Financial aid is also available, they provide loan letters. There are MANY on campus internships. Based on your skills and the job you can earn 6-8k. I've been an intern at the psychologists office. Experience was amazing
Campus Life
There are so manyyy fests. Technical fests, cultural fests, edms, buisness fests. We also celebrate major festivals amazingly. The campus is always filled with life Libraries are abundant and so are the books and computers you can use.
Hostel Facilities
We get one bed, cupboard, studytable with night light. We are given buckets pillows, bedsheets and towels. Menu is set every 15 days, which is forwarded to the students. Meals are good compared to what we hear about hostel food in general. You need to apply for hostel and pay the half fee to book it. You can pay the other half in three-four months
Admission
Admission is merit based, there's no examination. You can apply on their official website and there's no application fee. You can apply from around March to October. Then you go for campus visit and taking admission. The process is not so complicated and you are assisted by interns.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:30. They definitely can hire more faculty because more often than not same professors are teaching three classes. Faculty members are well-educated, and they mostly know what they are doing. But how they handle a class can be improved upon. Teachers are very approachable. They are willing to help you out even outside of classes. They are not so bad. But sometimes they do yell and are egoistic. They don't exactly treat you like adults so there's that.
