Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum and syllabus for the course is apt it's just how you learn the skills in the hospital all the theory portions are just for the exams and the real world training is in the hospital sometimes it's is very hectic but is manageable if being consistent to the syllabus and practice and attendance of lectures.

Internships Opportunities

3

The college great opportunities for internships, as Iam in the first year of my college but this is in reference to talk I had with my seniors and my clas teacher. Stipend is also paid to the interns.

Placement Experience

4

There is a high rate of placements on campus. 99% students get placed. No issue for placements just need to get your hands skilled. Packages offered are really good. From semester 5 you are eligible for placements and internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time of admission I paid ?1,57,000 for 1 year for my BSc Nursing course in Parul Institute Of Nursing. After 2 months they released a notice about increment of ?40,000 in the yearly feess. So now my total fees is ?1,97,000 per year including all the examination fees and now there is no chances for increment in this amount. They charge different amount for students from South India only for the 1st year. I have been given no scholarship even I am having a defence background and I belong to OBC category.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is really great with a large campus area including various number of canteens, food courts, cafes, various varieties of food, drinks, are available. There are frequent events, fests and parties organised. New year party, Dhoom which is the Annual Function of University, Navratri, projections, celebration of various festivals are done, numerous courts and grounds are available for all, gym, Mandir, various Libraries, facilities such as Booz, cycles are available for minimal amount, various sports competitions are held very frequently. Overall campus life is great providing a great exposure to various extracurricular activities!!

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are a very good accomodation. I love in a 10 sharing room (Indira Bhawan) and the room is divided which makes it easier to adjust between 10 people and my room has 2 attached washrooms which are cleaned by health worker on a regular basis. There are many options available in the sharing there are 2,3,4,5,8,9,10 sharing hostels for both girls and boys and the rooms spacious they provide a study table, a chair, and a personal cupboard for each student. There is regular cleaning of rooms and washrooms. The food in the mess is mostly traditional gujarati food which can a little tough to adapt to overall is great. Cleanliness Is taken care of Mess staff are also generous and helping. Mt hostel is for ?91,000 including ?5,000 as security fee. Every hostel have a warden. And for large capacity hostels each floor has a rector.

Admission

The admission process is offline you have to first apply online and then you'll get a call from the University and then you have visit the admission cell of the university. The pepo6are very helpful and will provide a full tour of the campus, college, and hostels before any payment and the decision will be yours. I chose this university because I was suggested by a senior and also iam bit attached to the state. I wasn't able to crack NEET for a good govt college and hence I chose this university.

Faculty

3

Faculty are friendly but also strict about attendance and discipline. Overall teaching style is average at the end we have to do self study over the whole syllabus. There is semester system of exams (8 semesters). Level of exams is moderate but the only demand is to write as much content as you can and still get less marks. I don't like the system of writing 5-6 pages of answer for 10 marks and also the making scheme I felt is a bit unfair.

Night Life

5

The night life the campus is the best part. Movie nights are held very frequently in the Watchers park. Libraries are open 24hrs, safety is not at all compromised, the hostel gates close at 9.30 pm. Greenzy, Capitol, eutopia are some of the most fav places to hangout with friends Birthday celebrations etc. The campus is absolutely safe tk roam around. Navratri and parties are all late night celebrations for until 1-2 AM.

I chose this course because of the practicality in life. As we all know health comes first. The curriculum prepares us very well from fird aid to all the tiny details to become a nurse. I wished the faculty did our clinical posting bit quicker. The exams frequency and timing are all fine.
