  • The thing which I dislike the most in my college is 'The Canteen'.Though they provides food at very cheap price but it's very unheigenic.Even sometimes lizards, honeybee has been found in canteen's food.
  • The second one is college 'water'.Its the basic necessity which an college should provide to students but water is the worst in this college.Sometimes it smells very bad and tastes very bad .

Course Curriculum Overview :

My Course is BA(H) Economics, which is an great course and an difficult one too,but If you are studying well from the starting then you can score well in my semester exams .The syallabus for Economics honours in Delhi University is the same as it is in London school of economics in London,UK . You can learn statistics, Microeconomics, macroeconomics, Mathematics method of economic, econometrics, these are the subject you have to learn in whole eco hons and some others extra curricular subjects. Teaching methods of teachers are above averages and they should improve it asthey should focus on more teaching students practically not only theoretically. The timing of exams are from my point of view it's very early because in 3 months it's very difficult for an student to learn that much . Difficulty level of exams are above average it's not too difficult not too easy.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Delhi University is very cheap in tuition fees, like my college charges Rs.8160/year(4 years). Everyone can afford it,if someone can't afford then there are scholarships that are given to those students which cover their tuition fees, travel allowance, etc. There are no such other compulsory charges, it's up to you that you wants to give or not. Scholarships like All India scholarship which is for 1st year students,it provides 250/-per month for 3 years who have passed 10+2 examination with min of 55% marks. Shro sultan Chand scholarship is given to students by merit based ,it is given to B.Com(hons) students of third year and second year wcho secures highest % of marks above 70%. There are more scholarship which are provided in the college website(spm.du.ac.in) Awards are also given to students who scores high percentages in first, second or third year.

Campus Life :

There are only 2 fests that happen in Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College for women. First is Srijan which happens around March and it's the main fest of the college in which sometimes some celebrities are invited, like in 2024 , Ajay Hooda(Haryanvi singer) came to spm. There are many activities also which are organized by college and anyone can participate in them. The Second is Jhilmil which happens around November. This is and Diwali fest, many activities are organized and only spm students are allowed in it. The library is the best in SPM college it has 4 floors ( including the ground floor) and has a separate AC cabin for students to study. There are many books for different subjects. NCC is the most active society in this college which goes for tournament. For sports there is a tennis court, basketball court and open gym, and gym provided for students. Societies in SPM are not that great, there are not so many societies, only Dance Society (Thirkan), NSS, NCC, etc.

Admission :

Eligibility -10+2 passed and should have taken Mathematics in 10+2 I gave CUET-UG 2022 and got admission in the first list in Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College for women. Admission process was quite simple as all the documents was already uploaded while filling the form of CUET examination. So,the verification of documents was done through online .Application fees was around 1100-1300/-then CSAS registration fee was about100-200/-. Reservation benefits would be given if you have scored less marks and there are many seats reserved for Sc/st and OBC . Frequency and timing of exams are same .they happens after every 3-4 months, and difficulty level is average. I would suggest that admission process should be as fast as possible normally it takes 1-2 months but it should be only 1 month.

Faculty :

Talking about faculty members as now DU has introduced Extra subjects(SEC,VAC) we can interact with different subjects teachers too.So my experience is great.Faculty members are also good .They have mandatory qualificatios needed for an professor and teaches well. Many faculty members do mentors students for their future. I don't interact that much with teachers but when I do they are there to help you with your problems.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I pursued a bachelor's of arts hons. In applied psychology. The name itself shows that it is an applied science field and must contain field visits and hands-on experience for more applied knowledge and experience but there was nothing done of sorts to expand our knowledge base about practical application of principles. But apart from this, the theoretical knowledge was vast which gave us enough knowledge about the theories and stuff.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the case of courses, ignore offers a lot of courses that I teach. It depends on the student. If you have to only focus on your main subject (like economics after all business), they give you various types of courses in their university, but it seems it was distance learning, so proper guidance will not be provided by the university. But I took my BAM (bachelors).

Course Curriculum Overview:

At first, didn't seem very relevant but slowly, gradually as you dwell more depeer and start researching about the texts or novels or dramas that were there in the curriculum, it starts making more sense and you can actually relate to all of it in a much better way. But ofcourse it takes time and effort to do so.

Talking about the course I will not suggest much people to opt for the BA course until u r really up for the government thing or u r into Arts studies because apart from that this course doesn't offer much but yes go for it in our college because the faculty is really educated and well trained for that

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course structure is comprehensive as I am from a language course so for me it's quite hard to manage alongwith the optional course that is compulsory in graduation. The faculty is equipped with the language lab for the audio and visual experience to the students. The exams are conducted on the regular basis, 4 exams including first sessional second sessional mid term and end sem. The difficulty levels depend on the Professors mood.

From the fith semester(third year) you become eligible for placements. The placement in my college is pretty good. The highest package offered was 10 - 12 lakhs. The average package was 5-6 lakhs. Almost 80% students get placed.
