- the programs offered at our college were thoughtfully designed to cater to diverse interests and career goals. Whether it was engineering, business, arts, or sciences, each program was comprehensive and aligned with industry standards.
- the supportive infrastructure and resources at our college were instrumental in our academic success. State-of-the-art laboratories, well-stocked libraries, and modern facilities facilitated our learning and research endeavors.
Dislikes
- One notable drawback of my college experience was the noticeable absence of sufficient events or programs. While the academic curriculum was rigorous and the teaching quality commendable, the social and extracurricular aspect.
- There were limited opportunities for students to engage in cultural, sports, or academic events outside of the regular coursework. This deficit in extracurricular activities meant that students missed out on chances to network, develop leadership.
- It also contributed to a less vibrant campus life compared to other institutions, where a robust calendar of events enhances the overall student experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have taken BCA as my ug course, it had a comprehensive course curriculum. It had languages including c, c++, java, php, python and others such as RDBMS, despite having all this subjects it still feels like an outdated syllabus. But still the college tried to give us a class on practical sessions, we had so many practical sessions to improve our skills. We had one training for python from an experienced lecturer, then there were programs like the hackathon. But there should be more of improvements that is needed in this college, and the university should improve the subjects syllabus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure from BCA is 25,000 per sem, that makes a total of 1.5 lakhs, if you have more than 80% in you higher secondary school then you are eligible for a merit concession that will reduce the fees to 20,000/- per sem, that will 1.20 lakh for the 3 year course. The fees is not that high, and I think it's affordable. While joining the college there is a registration fees of 10,000 which is non refundable, and if you recommend a student, then you will get 5k as commission. There is no financial assistance or scholarship inside the college, but you can seek any from an authorized institutions outside. There was enought support for campus placement, though this year was a bad year for placements, but still our college has done enough to get the students placed.
Campus Life
The campus life of this college is actually very poor, there isn't enought programs or events. The only events where people are excited are onam and College day which takes place once a year. Every other events are just broing and the faculties don't allow students to do more or to do something creative. The student associations are poorly funded by the college management, so we can't invite other guests to the programs, we don't have freedom in events. Even the sports day is so poorly done.
Admission
I think the students only need to get more 50% in you higher secondary school. The management faculties helps you to get your application filled. You only need to pay an extra of 10,000rs for college registration, and you need to submit all you documents like TC, migration certificate, 10th and +2 certificates. The application form is available from the college departments, the admission process is so easy. The exams are took upon timing, and the results are published on timing, the college is good on that terms. They will give you some study materials and if you refer them you can earn good marks also. Some suggestions to improve in the admission process are to give it online support also.
Faculty
The faculty numbers may appear sufficient on paper, but the quality of teaching among them varies significantly. While a few professors excel in delivering high-quality instruction and fostering meaningful learning experiences, others may fall short in engagement or effectiveness. Despite this inconsistency, one consistent factor is the abundance of exam preparation materials provided to students. During exam periods, regardless of the teaching quality throughout the semester, professors and departments often ensure that students have access to ample study resources. These materials may include comprehensive lecture notes, practice exams, study guides, and online resources, all aimed at helping students achieve good marks in their assessments. This approach sometimes compensates for the variability in teaching quality by empowering students to independently prepare for exams using structured resources. It encourages self-directed learning.
